Huh. I didn't realize that electric eels lived in the Amazon. I always thought they were ocean dwellers.
@imweakfordeaky5 ай бұрын
Alligators don’t live in the Amazon either, even though they were named in this story as living there… Alligators can only be found in North America (the American Alligator of the Southeast US) and in China (in the Lower Yangtze River region). The Chinese Alligator is approximately half the size of their American counterparts (Chinese Gator at full growth is 7 ft long, while American Gators can be 14-15 ft at full growth)

Electric eels are freshwater fish found within the Amazon area, primarily in slow-moving rivers or stagnant ponds. As far as calling the crocodilians in the Amazon Alligators, the spastic, avian-like ambassador likely doesn't know the difference between crocs, caimans, gators, and gharials, and calls them all alligators.

If the rest of the Galaxy's inhabited planets are as soft as this implies, I think we would be willing to uphold the quarantine. But it would be a great tourist trap as well. Xenos could rent armored exoskeletons and mech suits with exaggerated safety features to play up the danger. With a proper human guide, one of the Erwins, for instance, they wouldn't need any suit beyond what's needed for the environment and climate, but we don't need to let the average tourists know that.😉💰💵💷💳🤑

Or when they where hunted by humans and just defending themselves.
