Just saw him the other night ............ he can still rock that high falsetto!!!! The group was beyond fantastic. A night I’ll never forget .... free in the music, the band, the night. My 30 yr old son was astonished of their performance, we shared such a special event together. 😊 What a phenomenal group. ♥️

As a session musician myself, I have to note that the few cracked notes before the outro vamp of his what we call faux falsetto which is on the majority of the verses is what keeps us on the edge, and makes it a greater performance! He actually hits true falsetto at the end, and my head always explodes with glee!

Omg!!! I just saw them 2 nights ago!! I cannot describe how incredible their performance was! Awesome, amazing & powerful. It was so fabulous to completely be free in their presence as they performed for us! The songs .... the memories of growing up with their music. True. By this time Maurice had retired due to him battling parkinsons disease. He did reunite with the band in 2000, 2002 and 2004 for the Rock and Roll hall of fame induction ceremony the BET Awards and the Grammy Awards before he officially retired from touring.

Ooohh! I'm so jealous. I am, and will forever be, a die hard EWF lover and I'm so grateful that they have blessed us in this life. (I saw them several times in the early 1980's, most memorable was in a tiny venue in my hometown of Redwood City, CA, called the Circle Star Theater. The theater where every seat is a front row seat because the stage rotates around 360 degrees super slowly, giving every section a full frontal view of my favorite band of all time...Earth, Wind, and Fire!!!

I was thinking the same thing. The crowd seems to represent a kinder and gentler time in our country--an educated and enlightened electorate. No posturing, no angry expressions, no sinister looking hoodies, no visible tattoos covering the neck and no basketball shorts or ball caps turned backwards. One morning in 1995, I was on my way to work at a law firm at 30 Rock. As I was about to enter the building, I heard this song coming from down the street and I stopped in my tracks to listen for a minute because this was one of my favorite E,W,&F songs. Then I realized that they were actually performing the song live. Needless to say, I was a few minutes late that morning. It was awesome. Don't know if this is that performance because I think it's from 1997, I'm told.

I saw them the other night .... absolutely amazing concert. Fantasy is a huge favorite of mine ... but when they started it, I couldn’t stop dancing. I was singing dancing, hands everywhere .... everyone was, lol. The crowd was so into the moment, as I. It was so amazing to see them sing it! Right there, live in front of me. The entire performance was insanely awesome ~ perfect. It was so wonderful to be captivated by them...their music. Such talent they have .... so blessed.

Philip Bailey is extraordinary! The ability to do a live performance like that is so rare. Even if a person can do such vocal feats as Philip does here at all, they often can only do them this flawlessly after many takes in the studio to get a single great one. Doing it live in one shot is just superhuman. Wow!
