Where did they get ahold of the lyric "It was a shiny day that made me feel this way...oh darling, sweet sweet darling, yea!..." ?? It's not in the 3 minute acapella, but you can faintly hear the beginning of the sentence "It was a shiny day...." in the original single before it gets buried by other instruments and vocals. Weird. I'd love to find the full acapella source from this.

Most likely, they just extracted it from the original recording. They picked the samples that they wanted and edited out the sounds that they didn't want to include and turned up the parts of the sample that they wanted to feature. That is pretty basic editing, but it is possible that this is the route they chose
