I had a friend who was born with cerebral palsy. He cannot be an acrobat, and personally I have plenty of fantasies that are in no way realistic, but when I throw down the vain imaginings and focus on who I was made to be, and learn about the things that I am naturally good at..... I gain realistic direction.

After her anti-war statement at the White House in 1968, a Washington DC mandated Hollywood had turned its back on Eartha Kitt, and she in turn just said, "So What?", and did a decade long stint in Europe... Ten years later, with the Vietnam Era and all its related BS placed behind us, Hollywood and the American Stage sees Ms. Kitt's accomplishments in Europe, and begs her to return... She did because she wanted to, not had to...

I'm so happy to hear someone from that time own being multicultural...I'm from a multi-racial family and even for us, conversations around that or tense and I hear too much of how they had to choice but to choose one side and felt they couldn't own being multicultural. It's been very frustrating, because I do own it, very strongly (being multicultural & multilingual) and don't really have anyone around me to understand that.

He had his own very popular show throughout the entire 1970s and interviewed a WIDE range of amazing celebrities!! His personality is a little dry......but overall he is a pretty good guy and I am also so glad he interviewed such a wonderful lady. She was so ahead of her time and had such a unique and accurate view on many topics including race. ❤️

Dick Cavett is the best interviewer in the history of showbiz, dry delivery, sincere and good-natured with a streak of mischief. He puts all his guests at ease despite - and sometimes thanks to - small moments of awkwardess where vulnerability comes through. Watch his other interviews before you judge the man!

He said "Set in black Africa"...the whole of Africa is black, except where territory was stolen...like every other such place on the world, that has been migrated to and to and claimed...of course, this is the 70's, not too much awareness & political correctness.
@WoWMalazar3 жыл бұрын
Actually black africa refers to sub-saharan Africa as opposed to north Africa which is predominantly Arab in countries like Morroco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. There's nothing wrong with the term!
