Fun Fact: All PSI attacks in Mother/Earthbound games have a set base power that is only modified by the game's damage RNG. A character's psi based stats only affect how much PP they have. This is also the reason why enemy psi attacks deal so much damage; They all are designed to be used on enemies which have much higher HP than player characters. The shopping mall alien boss in EB actually uses PK Freeze Beta which has a base power of 560, and you have less than 300 HP at that point.

You know that Halloween hack with Varik? In it, Rockin' is absent (for good reason; only Ness and Gyigas can use it), Flash was renamed Whiteshock, Hypnosis was renamed Sleepstun, Paralysis was renamed Timestop, and datamining revealed that the final boss's special attack, PSI Bitchkill Omega, is a buffed up version of PSI Starstorm.

Sometimes I hate PK Thunder in here, it misses too much compared to Mother 3 and EarthBound Beginnings. But that's a good thing, it balances the fact it's really powerful compared to most Offense PSI.

PK Thunder's miss chance is the amount of enemies on screen / 4, so PK Thunder Ω will at least hit once even with one enemy, as it strikes 4 times.

I don’t really think it balances thunder, it’s terrible in bosses because you’ll usually hit only 1 or 2 even on omega making Paula very weak on bosses that have both fire and freeze resistance.

PSI Aero (My own PSI) This psi works in a double battle. (a battle that has alot of aliens) It swaps the places of the aliens and lowers the attack and defense to 50. it also makes the aliens fly away from the battle

Usually deals more than 40 less than 80. Duh PK Love α even deals atleast 145 dmg. Max Damage with highest IQ is 215 or 245 if i'm not wrong. With IQ Techinque in Mother 3, Lucas's PK Love Ω even can beat Ness's PK Rockin'.

@@PKSuperStar256 It's not the fan translation that the problem it's the recording problem, I do own a gba but the only problem that it would be pretty much Impossible to record it. So what I'm planning to do is buy a game boy player so I can play it on my GameCube and record it that way. But the only problem is that they are like 120 dollars, it's funny that you mention this because I was actually planning on getting one anyway so I can record GBA games. I was also planning on getting mother 3 too so I guarantee that I will do mother 3 as soon as possible. Also don't feel bad because I was actually planning on doing it anyway and I'm looking forward to playing mother 3!

Everywhere else, it's PSI Rockin, as that's Ness's favorite thing in these parts of the world. In Japan, it's "Kiai" or fighting spirit, as that's some sort of significant thing in Japan. I don't know.

Can someone explain to me why this pk freeze sounds high pitch while i have seen other versions with a much lower pitch cracking sound? Is it another version of the game?

No, this is the official version of the game played on an actual snes. There's just a lot of distortion to the sound, would be my guess, since I recorded it on a DVD recorder on the lowest possible setting for some reason. Then, I used a fairly bad screen capturing software to record my computer screen while it played the DVD.

I've seen playthroughs of the game with the "nicer" sound and also there's a video here on youtube demonstrating ALL pk freeze attacks and that one sounds with the low pitch horrible sound lol.
