People always praise Zelda 1's overworld themes for being so listenable throughout the game despite their short loops and repetitions, but I think EB:B deserves the same credit. This and Being Friends bang even after hours of intense grinding. Suzuki and Tanaka deserve the same credit for this game's score that they get for it's sequel.

You might get it cut from random encounters or never find an enemy just so the next one is op. This theme is very chadly, my first earthbound game. Beginnings deserves more love, i feel it's very under rated and hated for being a NES game.

I'm approaching the series for the first time. Should I start from the NES or SNES one? Someone says the very first is too "old" and frustrating, and so even tho it comes first, it's better to play the NES one lastly (so Mother 2, Mother 3 and then Mother). What's your opinion?

Nintendo calls it "Earthbound Beginnings". I think they should revert to the original name: "Mother". After all, even Squaresoft reverted the american releases of Final Fantasy II and III to the original names of Final Fantasy IV and VI.

@@KingStr0ng The only people that could get confused were the ones in the USA, it wasn't released in Europe. They could've changed the name like Squaresoft did for their games. For example, the remake of Final Fantasy Adventure (GB) had been released as "Sword of Mana" on the GBA.
