Why only electrons flows from and to the earth Why not protons when u said earth is also source and sink of protons too

Thanks a lot. It cleared my concept. I still I have some doubts: Q. In earthing of charges, do only electrons get transferred or protons also get transferred? Q. Also, how do the electrons move from the substainalized object to the earth. These charges in the object remain static right?
