Actually I like earthquake a lot. Even if there are no buildings, earthquake works like a cheap rocket. It has the second best crown tower damage per elixir among spells( rocket is 1.) and you can spell cycle with earthquake easily. I don't know why nobody mentions this but earthquake is a semi win condition and probably better and safer than rocket on offense.
