Hi! Alyssa did a great job on the Mermaid floss cards! I'll send a request.😁 I agree about earthquakes being worse nearby. My worst was 6.4 when I was a kid. We were in a raised wood frame shearing shed. Pretty stitching, as always. Keto is looking more beautiful all the time, and you both have such interesting WIPs. Horror sugar maple story! Earthquakes are fine if they are small or far away. I don't recommend the up close ones. Yikes!!!! I feel like 5 is the age where kids become much easier. People talk about the Terrible Twos and the Ferocious Fours, but I seem to recall 3 is a rough one too. At least you also see the entertaining side of Walter. ~J

I have written down your guess. I wish there were more artists like Aimee Stewart. I love her rainbow-like colors and that in most of her pieces, you don't have to do 12 miles of background before getting to something fun. ~J

Yup,the birdies definitely don't like earthquakes. Hopper has felt some minor ones when we lived in Louisiana that I didn't feel. Baby splotch #2 needs to come on 18 May so I can associate the day with something good! Keto looks so good! I haven't rolled SSCE Museum Shelf on the frame to make stitching more comfortable either because I like seeing the whole thing so far. Nice work on the floss cards Alyssa!

Hopper would not have liked the larger one we had. I'm not sure if my birds have felt things I haven't. They generally don't react unless it's a bigger shake. They look at us like it was entirely our fault their homes were rattled. I will put in a recommendation for the 18th of May, but I suspect Alyssa won't listen. I love Museum Shelf. Clearly I just can't always remember the name. Ha h. ~J

Thanks for the update! I’ll guess New Baby will come on May 20th at 9:30am. 👶🏻 Julie, I just checked and I DID put my Fairytale Town on my WIPGO board, so it should get two days this year. You’re right, though, I haven’t worked on it since we started it together! Yours is looking great! 😍 I just have too many projects. 🫣 Oh, and I found a cute little hole punch on Amazon that is super easy on your hands and it wasn’t that much more expensive than a standard one. Totally helpful for making thread cards - I got it to make the kits for my Etsy shop. I’ll try to find it and text you a link if you’re interested. 👍🏻

Talking about earthquakes… I lived in Big Bear for a few years and I remember feeling the earthquakes pretty regularly. When I moved to Oregon, people here freak out about the smallest rumble. I’m like it’s normal… no big deal… I mean when you feel them every couple weeks. You do get used to them. I’m gonna guess the baby is coming May 20th at 7:45am

Yes!!!!!! The small ones are not a big deal at all. More noise than shake most of the time. When you have to ask yourself if that's an earthquake, it's nothing to worry about. It's the ones where you know instantly and fly across the room that I hate. I forget other states have earthquakes. To me it's only California. Ha ha. ~J

Hmmmm … I *might * have been the winner last time. I do remember winning a gift card from you at some point. I’m going to guess Monday, May 27 @ 3:22pm. The commercials are cool … why did the customer always have a darker splotch on the upper left of his shirt? Why do they tell you to be in a doorway for an earthquake? We don’t really have earthquakes in MI. There have been a few times that one has happened in Ohio and supposedly it can be felt in MI, but I’ve never felt them. Loved seeing what you’ve been working on. I hope Alyssa’s last bit of pregnancy time goes smoothly. Alyssa, I think it’s great that you have gotten maternity photos done. I think there is one snapshot of me when I was pregnant and I have two children. 😢

I seem to be bad at remembering things sometimes. Anyway, you could still be the winner this time. No baby yet. That dark splotch on his shirt bothered me too!!!!! I wasn't there for filming that day or I would've said something. A doorway is supposed to be one of the strongest spots in a house (apparently). You just have to make sure you are standing properly so the door doesn't swing and pinch your fingers or knock you out or anything. So put your back to the door hinge portion. But don't stand in a doorway if it's right by a large glass door/window or if something massive could fall on you. They actually suggest you sit. I'm with you on maternity photos. I finally found a pic of me pregnant. Like you, I have two kids. One picture. Two kids. Ha ha. ~J

I didn't mention it because I don't honestly know. It's a long story, but Stitchin' Mommy and I both wanted it and both accidentally bought the same fake one thinking it was the real one. I've been told since the title has something to do with Fairytale. I call it European Village. I just did a couple of google searches. At first I couldn't find it, but then I had an epiphany and came up with it. Fairytale Town by Abris Art. It's a kit and I see it on Ebay right now. The bajillion you will find on Etsy and Aliexpress that are not kits and are only like $3 are fake. The one I see on Ebay is $88, but that doesn't appear to be a buy it now price. I'm sure there are others. I hope that helps. ~J
