A year ago the Italian earthquake killed more than 3,000 people. Tonight TV EYE shows how the Mafia or the Camorra as it’s known in Naples is making money from the disaster at the expense of those who have suffered most during this disaster.
Organised crime, through its control of most of the construction industry is seeking to win as much as possible of the £4,000 million worth of government contracts for earthquake reconstruction and then to build as cheaply as possible.
As rival gangs within the Mafia battle for control of the contracts, 198 of them have been killed in internal gun battles,
