For an introductory college-level earth sciences class: a review of running water -- rivers and streams, including their weathering, erosional, and depositional processes and landforms. Discussion of base level, flood plains, levees, channel patterns (such as meandering, straight and braided rivers), load types (suspended, dissolved, and bed loads), alluvial fans, deltas, discharge, capacity, competence, headwaters, tributaries, drainage basin (watershed), and more.
