As a nurse, I just want to thank you sooo much for creating this doll. You have always inspired me as an artist since I discovered this channel and I love that nurses inspired you to create this figure. I am continually amazed by the outpouring of support and truly appreciate what you are doing with the proceeds of this doll. Keep on creating beauty and keep us who work on the frontlines of health care in your thoughts!

I made a theme song for Betty :) Oh hey, it's Nurse Betty! She's a pal, a dame, a doll, She'll keep your vitals steady, And ain't afraid of bacteria brawls! All those pathogens and germs, Her presence makes them squirm, And if people disregard her work, She'll be sure to make them learn! Oh hey Nurse Betty, Times are tough but you pull through, You'll help us through coronavirus, 'cuz we're all counting on you!~

Do you sketch out your ideas before applying them to your figurines or do you make it up as you go? When you pose them before you design the clothes made me wonder. It looks like it would be easier the other way around but you still do an amazing job every time.

Do you happen to have a tutorial on how you use and apply the clay to the joints of your dolls to keep it from cracking? I've watched most of your videos and I have tried to watch those parts closely. Just curious on tips or recommendations on how and what the best techniques for this are. Or if you could recommend any good tutorials for this? Thank you in advance and I always absolutely love watching your doll repaints. I'm just starting out and love the style you use as opposed to the still movable joints.

For these types of dolls you would use an air dry clay like ApoxySculpt or Polyform air dry. I think I remember Lylah saying she has used both. For what you are making you could use those or even a polymer clay like Sculpy Premo or Fimo if your figure can be baked.
