The owner of this property and her children went away interstate for a holiday. Unfortunately, one of her daughters fell ill which resulted her being sent to hospital and they were forced to stay there for some time until she recovered. By the time they had returned home their yard looked like this...that's where I come in!

I think tidying up as you go is a great method of getting the job done without doing it all at once and cleaning up all at once. You can see how much you've done and what's left to do. Good job, Ryan

💜 A few new ideas put into play on this yard. Here in Michigan USA, we have very different grass. As do many different regions across the globe. Here with thick tall grass we will mow it twice without a bagger. Then open the mower’s side shoot “blowing” the clippings towards the middle. Attach the bagger for the middle. It’s just a way to get the clippings as small as possible. Which equals a smaller amount of bags. So we kinda use the same technique. 💜

Nice cleanup. Our church does lots of these. I find edging first around the yard/trees opens it up. Mow a 2 meter area and rake. Give the mower a rest. Its slow. Sometimes use the edger about 6 inches off the ground and rake. Might find a surprise of something not to mow (rocks, bricks) It gives the mower a chance. Keep your blade sharp and oil changed.. My 02 cents.

Honda has a blade brake on all those mowers. Unless a lever is engaged the blades are not spinning even tho the engine keeps running.

Couple of reasons for me. Firstly it voids any warranty. Secondly, if the string is too long it hinders the performance of the machine.
