Wow. Doc, you have mad skills and talent that only God could give you. I have great respect for Doctors in your field. My older brother had problems with his ears since he was born (I'm 68 now). He suffered so much all his life and the medical treatments (draining,/ect) was just not available. His ear drums were constantly infected and all that could be done was antibiotics, and medicated ear drops. I looked in his ear once, not knowing what I was looking at then but I do now, his ears drums were so infected, ruptured and bleeding. It was then I realized how much pain he had every day all day. He never really complained but in the morning my mom would have to change his pillow cases and pillows from the drainage from his ears. Just think how much your skills have helped this person. I can only imagine how they felt once the pressure was relieved. My brother had to wait till he was in his late 20's for any real medical help. Thank you. I will sub and watch. He really is doing it the best way. He has stated before that while there may be a quicker way, he performs the removal with the least amount of pain possible. So the process may be longer and more drawn out. It's all about patient comfort. In no way was this not a painful process. I am also assuming he is not allowed to use pain medicine as in injection or topical. I'm guessing that by how the regulations are in the UK.
@SilastheMatchmaker3 ай бұрын
@@kittytomaszewski236idk about regulations or anything, but I'd got to think that topical wouldn't help anything as there's the blockage, and injection just isn't possible both because of the blockage and the area. So at that point you'd be looking at more intensive methods that usually require special equipment and staff. Just a guesstimate though from my own experience in the medical field.

I have a question of curiosity. Why use the “hook?” Wouldn’t the tool the flat scraper be easier to get the wax on the walls of the ear canal then use suction to get the large bits he got off? The hook seems frustrating in a stubborn situation like this video.
@brandiegill33703 ай бұрын
Because of the kinetic energy skin has, it falls back into place when suctioned. With the hook, it’s easier to get underneath and break the adhesion that wouldn’t be possible with the flat tool and micro suction. Forceps would be ideal too, but in this case, it would have kept shearing off little pieces…too soft to latch on to for extraction.
@annabertholf50203 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly. The small hook just goes through the debris and barely moves it. Would it not have been more efficient to remove the solid black buildup at the start of the procedure initially?
