this happened to me like 2 weeks ago and I got a flash flood warning at literally 2:04 in the fricking morning. Apparently the roads were flooded and a 70 year old man died after he drove into a ditch and drowned in my county. (this alert was issued in like 5 different counties) Like who is dumb enough to drive in flood water when it says your not supposed to.

I am interested in Weather Radios or anything tech based (computer based, OS's and motherboards) I found this video to be *awesome!* I live in Australia. we don't get weather radio options here. We only get our emergency information from our ISP or the radio. There was a bushfire that was sent to all Telstra (a landline company) customers in the "Adelaide Foothills" area. I was lucky enough to catch the message (Excerpt) "The following suburbs are on high risk due to Samson Flat Bushfire Warnings, at 3:15 AM, firefighters from Elizabeth, Smithfield and Gawler spotted a hotspot of flames close to the following streets and/or areas, Karinga Avenue, Megunya Crescent and Yorktown Road. People are required to stay indoors at this time" "This warning expires at 3:15 PM" And then you get the SEWS (State Emergency Warning System) sound (which is freaky, it sounds like a dying smoke alarm.)
