I think you should pitch this idea a a studio and let’s get a movie based on what if the la Palma Wave happens

A 66 foot tsunami would never have cleared the Appalachians to affect Pittsburgh PA.
@lisaprince57676 ай бұрын
True. I live in Florida which is almost completely flat and surrounded by the ocean on all sides. A 66 ft wave from all three sides still wouldn’t wipe out the whole state. These waves would all have to be several hundred feet at least to cover three fourths of Florida. So it’s impossible that a 66 ft wave would obliterate the rest of the East coast which is largely forests and mountains.

I was actually planning to make an EAS scenario, which would be my first that was going to be about the La Palma Volcano erupting, but it’s looks like someone else did it so now I don’t have to.

Cool, also be sure to include the EAS alarms for the regions outside the United States (even if they are from a mock) and have the messages spoken in their respective languages.

Watched this all the way to the end. Despite a little bit of errors, This is probably the best La Palma EAS scenario I’ve seen compared to other ones. There’s not really that many scenario’s on it. Maybe at least 2. Great scenario man.🤜🏻👊🏻

This was like listening to a radio show. Thoroughly enjoyed it. BTW if the alert were issued in Canada the measurements would be in metric and both official languages ha ha!

Glad you enjoyed. Yeah lol, I forgot to translate it to French. I didn’t have enough time to do it. I plan on making a scenario regarding Yellowstone, in the near future. So the French translation will be included. :)

I remember hearing about this scenario years ago, and it really made me nervous. Ironically when the La Palma volcano actually erupted I was on the Connecticut coastline hanging with a friend. Thankfully I didn't hear about it, otherwise I would have drove home asap. The original scenario seems to be unfounded by geologists as well. Great job.
@EASNORTHCAROLINA192 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It made me concerned as well because I live on the East Coast, and I thought me and some family would have to evacuate. Thankfully there was no tsunami. I tried my best to make it realistic as possible.

Good video! I will say though as a West Virginian I will say that the part where it his Hartfort city is kinda not how it would have gone. It would have most likely hit Harpers Ferry As the Potamac River flows through Washington DC to the Chesapeake Bay. (Giving this feedback so if maybe you want to remaster this and it could help out) But overall this is a good scenario!
@leehuff2330 Жыл бұрын
I would have to agree. Harper's Ferry would be just about the only part to see any real effects, and I think it would be extremely unlikely for the wave to back that far up the Potomac, let alone cross the Allegheny front to affect areas like Pittsburgh PA. I live in the northern panhandle, about 40 miles west of Pittsburgh.

I remember back last year when the earthquake swarm on La Palma started on 9/11. And then erupted 6 days later. That’s kinda crazy if you really think about it.

Your EAS scenarios are very well put together and the quality of the work depicting how civil defense would respond surpasses many professional attempts by filmmakers who do this for a living. So please don’t think i was picking on you. But the only part of this EAS scenario that portrayed what would happen realistically was when you described the waves reaching 2000 feet. Because of the size of the areas affected. Like I said I live in Florida which is mostly flat and right at sea level to right below it. And again it’s surrounded by water. I take that back. The northern part of Florida is bordered by Alabama and Georgia. But even then a 120 😮ft wave even if Florida was hit by one on each side isn’t going to do the job. It wouldn’t even flood all of cities like micco Palm Bay Melbourne cocoa beach which directly face The Atlantic. And cocoa beach is where you can see the ocean from your backyard. Honey there’s condos up to 10 stories and maybe the first few stories might get flooded. And there’s a slight slant from the beach going up. And waves spread out as soon as they hit land.These factors will slow down how far an 80ft wave will go in. Florida has been hit by 40 to 50ft waves before and didn’t end up underwater. These cities just received a lot of flooding. The Florida keys ….maybe. But not likely. You’d have to present the scenario of waves several hundred feet from all sides of Florida to even just possibly consider three fourths being covered. The rest of the East Coast. And Colombia and Ecuador. The la Palma volcanic eruption occurred in the area of The Atlantic Ocean. Colombia and Ecuador border the Pacific Ocean. With Ecuador you’d need an uber tsunami of several miles high from The Atlantic to reach a country on the Pacific by crossing South America. And even then complete flooding is still highly unlikely. There were just too many technical issues mostly by how the tsunamis would actually affect the coastlines and how far reaching the damage would be that just didn’t present themselves as being realistic.

Thanks for your input. And no, I don’t see it as nitpicking, I see it constructive criticism. It helps me to understand what I can improve on. I have remastered version of this scenario coming as soon next weekend, this was my first attempt making a scenario. And trust me, the remastered version is gonna be better than this one, for sure. So stay tuned.👍🏾
