I find it hilarious how many people are actually thinking this is real. 1. Alert system is clearly mock. This sort of white text on red is not seen hardly anywhere, and definitely not for the BBC. 2. Alert tone is the US style of tone, not UK. 3. A channel shutting down is not a “statewide emergency.” The two slides before it documenting actual information about the channel shutting down is extremely realistic; props to whoever made it.

The first two minutes didn't really do much for the video's pacing. What I assume to be british TV was using an American EAS tone, and the EAS itself didn't even say what the emergency was...? This feels more like it would’ve been a hacker trying to prank everyone. You’re all freaking out but I’m sad because BBC kids was the Canadian version of CBeebies and when we lost the real CBeebies when Bell XpressView stopped being a thing YEARS ago, we got bbc kids in Canada. I didn’t know this fossil was still going on for this long but I suppose it died recently…. You fought the good fight BBC kids. Part of the reason I love UK TV so much was CBeebies through XpressView and BBC kids.
