I hear all of these AL counties called out and I expect James Spann to suddenly pop up and tell us to "respect the polygon." Well done.

This reminds me of Barry. The mesocyclone that started over the United States, went over the Gulf of Mexico and became a hurricane before landfall in Louisiana.
@aircraftandmore97752 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Barry literally had it’s eye pass over my house in louisiana, it wasn’t like a regular eye like usually you would think you’d see, no wind, and just a very light drizzle of very low topped clouds wrapping around a clear calm eye. At least I didn’t have a eyewall

this was a good EAS scenario! i liked the ticking clock. i also liked the bulletins used for Mindy (for example the one at 1:43:57) as well. Overall, good job! I’m interested to see what you’ll make next!

A little something to note: alerts don’t typically say “PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS” when aired over the radio, as it usually skips that line in the text when it airs (the actions themselves are aired though). Other than that (and what others have already said), I do think it’s a pretty good scenario.
@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim3 жыл бұрын
If it's a machine reading it, it usually does (from my experience). If it's a human, yeah, it doesn't.
@stampycatfan01lol3 жыл бұрын
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim It may be the way the machine is programmed too....the alerts are read by a computer voice on my local weather radio station, and they don’t say “PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS” usually, though there’s also the possibility of a software-related issue, resulting in that line being read out on occasion.

Why I watch these before bed I have no clue because they can give me anxiety, BUT IM DOING IT ANYWAYS. As long as I don’t go full screen and can still see I’m on KZbin I’m good! :D edit: It's been three months, I had to stop because i got to anxious because of the tones, but i'm back now to finish this!

In some of the scenes with a white screen the audio was really unbalanced (the SAME tones were way, way louder than the voice). Consider fixing this for the next scenario. Otherwise, great work.

This reminds me of Hurricane Jouaquin which became the strongest hurricane of non-tropical origin in hustory, became a strong cat 4 with 155 MPH winds, nearly became a cat 5. It's not out of the realm of possibilty that a non-tropical system become tropical and develop into a category 5 hurricane just like Jouaquin did in 2015.

@crystalpreuett95393 жыл бұрын
This is pretty cool, but it'd be a lot better minus all the alert tones/alarms. My ears kinda feel like they're bleeding. LOL Maybe you could just do the actual tones/alarms on the first couple "updates", then explain that you'll be using only a short beep sound (or the like) to substitute all simulated alert tones/alarms from that point on in the video. 🤷🏻♀️ Idk, just a humble suggestion. (This is still good though. 👍🏻)

Also, if you could say the rating each tornado is on the EF scale it would be quite interesting to know. 🙂
