I just watched several of your card tutorials (again) e.g. Tri-fold, Easel, Stair Step and Napkin Fold cards. They are truly the best instructional videos I have seen! Your videos cover each step: cuts, folds and measurements, plus the cards are all so beautiful and inspiring. I appreciate your great ideas for embellishing and amazing professional tips and techniques. Last year I bought a couple pop-up card books but with your videos, I don't need these books' often tough to follow directions anymore. Thank you, Kathy, for taking the time to show us how to create so many wonderful card designs! Your tutorials are very helpful and "Close to My Heart". :)

Hi! I am sorry that you are having difficulties. The only thing I can think of is when you put your first "drawer" down, I line it up right to the corner and then as I add the rest of the drawers, I make sure they are snug up again the the other drawer and again right to the edge of the base. One option you have is to cut the base slightly larger to give a bit of a margin in case you need it but this may not line up with the easel card on top. Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for sharing this tutorial with the clear instructions and the beautiful project. I'm not usually someone who excels at precise measuring and folding, but I have made two of these, one for a Golden Wedding with heart chocolates inside and one for a friend's birthday with Scrapbooking trinkets inside. I'm thrilled with the results. Is there somewhere that you include the drawer and shell sizes for a 5" card, as I'd like to try that as well. TIA, Kind regards Helen

Helen Wallace I just did the calculations quickly and this is what I think you need: 5x10 cardstock and 5x5 cardstock to make the card 2 1/2 x 8 to make the shells (score at 1, 3.5, 4.5, and 7) 3 3/8 x 4 3/8 (score at 1 inch around the outside) Let me know if it works!
