MAKE THIS TOP COMMENT! On the 2nd farm you have to place a fish from a fish bucket in the back of the water behind the chest so that it fish faster and using a lure fishing rod it works normal, without this it will fish really really slow even with enchantment

You can actually make the second one afk if you make it click every about 10 seconds. 10 seconds will give it time to catch something and then cast the line again. If it doesn’t catch something it’ll just pull back the rod then throw it again anyway. It’s faster with a better fishing rod obviously but I am able get lots of loot overnight while I sleep or while I’m leaving the house for something.

On the second one, my items were burning in the lava. My cart with the hopper that I dropped in was facing the wrong way so it moved instead of staying place. The cart and hopper (on the track) needs to be perpendicular to the hole and not parallel.

btw for any mcpe players the first one unfortunately will never work because of how the screen button behaves. Tapping the screen will do nothing, the only way to reel in the fishing rod is to press the "fish" button on the HUD. Unfortunately that will actually reel it in regardless of any conditions. Only the 2nd one works as it does not require you to reel it in yourself

you could also check what you get as your waiting, don’t put the trap door down, fish, turn around and open your chest. you won’t let go of the fishing rod

Im using the first one on my nintendo switch. Honestly i think it's more cheaper and better than the second option for consoles ESPECIALLY THE NINTENDO SWITCH. Just take out your con and keep holding the ZL button. Maybe you can tape ZL button too lol

You can use a sticky piston cinraotion instead of a trapdoor for first one and it will work good on mobke if you get your redstone and timing right ( mobile auto clicker/ gamepad with turbo mode )

@@toxic_agentz7928 yes, you have to aim it at the end of the pressure plate so when the line of the fishing pole hits the plate it opens the trap door then ur hitting the note block if that makes any sense, and can confirm you can get enchanted books, i got 2 mending books today and yesterday just super rare

This type of fishing farm NO LONGER works on JAVA 1.21 because of how fishing has been changed. You no longer get any treasure loot if the water is only 1 block wide such as enchanted books and bows. It needs to be 2 blocks deep and 4 wide.

Hello, I don't know about that 1 block thing, but the second farm here has a water logged chest and a water source behind it. I have a fish farm almost identical to it at my base, so to verify any mechanical changes, I just spent 5 minutes fishing. I got lots of fish, an enchanted bow, and an enchanted book with Breach 2, Loyalty 3, and Power 4. My farm also includes a fish behind the chest.

I could be wrong, but if you hold down your bumper, the rod will cast and return over and over. Idk how it works with the auto clicker though so id just say try it. If it makes it easier, make in creative, and if it works then make it in ur actual world

First one is simply terrible. I've lost loot on it more times than I could count, seems to glitch out or something, and each time it just makes me lose a lot of time. Second one works fine, but why trapdoors when you can simply use blocks? No sense at all. I've made the second one, used blocks instead of trapdoors, used a slab at head height to prevent me from falling into the lava, configured an autoclick to click every 13 seconds when using a max enchanted rod, and I did place a salmon bucket on it as well. I dunno how many items I'm loosing with the 13 sec timer, but out of 20 reels, none lost loot, so, seems fine to me

Nah unless u can somehow get an autoclicker cuz u used to be able to rubberband and tape the trigger down but u need to click slower for it now

If you rubber band your trigger down, it will just spam cast over and over again and it will 1. Kill your durability rq and 2. Just not catch anything. I’m about to go test some stuff out, I’ll lyk if I find a way to get a true afk on bedrock 1.21 console Update: Nothin 😐 Goodnight lol

Does this work for treasure, and will it work underground or in a building? I was getting killed by phantoms at night when AFKing, so i made it in a building and later made it underground next to an iron farm. I get a FEW books, but not many (maybe like 2-3 per hour of AFKing with a 3 treasure 3 lure fishing pole), so I wasnt sure if there was a penalty.. when I googled I saw people saying it shouldnt be ANY treasure with how im doing it. Bro we use auto clicker in the 2nd one and set 10 seconds. Lure 3 takes not more than 8 seconds to catch a fish. Its a better afk farm. And you are a java player ig.
