"a player's Magic defence is actually determined by both Magic (70%) and Defence (30%) levels" pulled from the wiki if you manage to get a high mage defence gear somehow maybe you can pull it off i would say its unlikely unless you full hp heal and angler on top to have the best chances on every fight that being said you can give it a shot!
