tbh you're making a fair point about difficulty, i'm a fan of difficulty by mechanics instead of by numbers, which they already managed to do with the different bosses and elites, so binding stats to different levels (books) would be more fair

I managed to get to the chapter 6 boss with Frankenstein, the monster and Dracula in an hp damage build. Between the three had 2 attacks that didn't cause status effects. My only sp heal was the sp heal status effect from Frankenstein. So I died. I then won with Lilith, Hectate and White lady in basically the same way you did.

This game seems inspired by Darkest Dungeon, that's a great game, but the campaign is super long

It seems like the button on the left upper is bugged just test if you can click it. I think you could downgrade the difficulty. Test both above and below the Icon

I am right now in a run but I will test after I complete it, although pretty sure you cannot, as the devs already announced that the next patch will address the difficulty...
