My dawg, we done came a long way ain't it?! I love seeing the progress in ppls gameplay from novice to pretty much a master. How many attempts did it take u all together for both times? I've beaten the Guantlet twice and it took me a total of 5 deaths all together. Anyway proud of u, cuzzo! Now we Destined ones wait for the DLC. U should def do another playthru to platinum tho. NG2 is easy too so u could literally just run thru it. Standing ovation!

@dcan4988 I ain't used a jump attack in any of my playthrus lol. Ion be jumping 🤷 lol. I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima rite now, trying to beat it before the sequel. I'm not about that Elden Ring life lol.

I like using a build like this, but except I change a few things 1: I use Yin Yang Daoist robes for damage reduction, also so I can still perfect dodge because the full Bull king set disables it. 2: I use spell binder and weavers needle for Hundred Eyes Daoist because I struggle with his second phase (and in case you’re wondering, you can use spirits, vessels, and transformations without disabling spell binder) 3: I didn’t see your gourd and brews so this might already be in the build, but I use Qing Tian gourd with damage reduction soaks to tank hard attacks 4: And finally, I use the Earth Wolf spirit for the passives and quick damage (like Wandering Wight) and Golden Lining transformation cuz it’s the goat. Unrelated, btw, but I also like to use an Erlang Spear build when I’m on a hard boss in NG+, because a lot of bosses you never struggled with can give you a run for your money in NG+ and certain builds aren’t as effective because the bosses deal way more damage and have even more health.

Thanks for the breakdown bro 🙏🏾! I think I’m good with or without perfect dodges so I like the bull king armor. Also, I knew you could use vessels, transformations, and spirits without disabling spellbinder, and I tried using the Qing Tian gourd but I don’t like waiting for the gourd to refill. If you get hit with 2 or 3 hits from a combo it gets scary waiting for the gourd lol. But like you said there are work arounds for that but I just prefer not to use it. I haven’t tried the earth spirit but the wandering wight and wind tamer vessel pair nicely! I am thinking about switching back to yellow loong though. I’m not a fan of the spears

@ Yeah, It’s pretty ironic, but I mainly use the spear to beat Erlang because the see through attack shreds his shield really easily, which you can’t get by very easily unless you’re using the fan vessel. I also use Earth Wolf for the focus passive. I know it says it only “slightly” increases focus gain, but I normally get like 5 fully charged heavy attacks whenever I use it, so I’m a fan of it. Anyway, it’s pretty cool you can actually get things done with the bull king set. It was cool on my first Ng+, but I always take a lot of damage using it, and I can’t avoid it without perfect dodging, which is why I use the Yin Yang armor for the chest piece. Also, I know I’m probably talking a lot but there’s one more thing you should know. If you want the highest possible damage with the Dark Iron staff. Use the OG great sage armor. It’s found in some random chest in chapter 6, and with the full set equipped, you’ll have the highest defense in the game, which translates to the highest attack in the game too. You do need to have a lot of relics for the armor to be at its fullest potential though. You’ll see why when you check the ability.

I already have the OG armor but I didn’t know it had the highest defense so I will make sure to use it once I fully upgrade it. Once I beat NG+2 I’ll have all the relics so not far away at all
