And you are quite funny and comical you make it really fun to watch. I want to try my first Galaxy resin but I was thinking of doing it on a canvas or board instead of a tumbler.🤔 Thanks for everything you share. I have a few questions as I’m working on my first alcohol ink cup. 1. Do you have a video of what you use to sand 2. what’s wet sanding? 3. After sanding do you wipe down with alcohol before second epoxy layer? I’m just not wanting to ruin any cups. Thanks for helping. 🤗
@DuncanCustomAirbrush4 жыл бұрын
Glad to help! 1. I don't have a vid of the sanding, but I used water and 600 grit sandpaper 2. Wet sanding is just where you spray the object and/or sandpaper with water when you sand it. It basically helps keep the sand paper from getting build up and makes it easier to sand. 3. Yes, I wipe down with alcohol before final layer of epoxy if I sand it. You can avoid sanding between epoxy layers by applying your 2nd epoxy 3 or 4 hours after you did the first (while the 1st is still tacky). This is what I usually do unless i and adding something to the design.

Duncan Custom Airbrush so I think I actually bombed my alcohol ink cup 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ thought that couldn’t happen. So I bought the piñata kit. I wanted to make a purple and gold cup. Things I realized 1. This gold is extremely overpowering. 2. The inks go everywhere. All over my hands 3. Colors don’t mix with the gold. But gold mixes with the colors (I hope that makes sense) 4. Less gold drops next time. 5. Maybe I should wear gloves. Bc there’s ink everywhere (did I say that already). Wish I could post a pic of this. Let’s pray it comes out ok. 🤦🏽♀️😩🤦🏽♀️😩

@@abbieserve4641 oh, i would like to see your results...sometimes we think our own things look like poo because they didnt turn out the way we have in mind, but it may be beautiful to others. Send me a pic to my Instagram. I think i mentioned (in one of my videos if not this one) about the gold taking over, and wearing gloves, lol Next time if you feel you have too much gold, you can: 1. Drip ink on top of the gold 2. Spritz it with rubbing alcohol, like in my galaxy video

How much resin do you apply for a 30 oz skinny?
@DuncanCustomAirbrush4 жыл бұрын
I usually mix up more than I need...Probably 10ml of each (part A & Part B), so that would be 20ml. I hate not to have enough and have to mix more. The more you do the more you will get the knack for knowing how much you need. You probably could get away with only using half as much

What I do is epoxy, let it spin for about 4 hours until it gets just slightly tacky, then I go ahead and do another layer of expoy, let it spin overnight then you should be finished...so in this case you would just do the final epoxy layer after 4 hrs of doing the steps in this video 👍
