Deployed monthly calendar on April 22nd on 48000 strike. Though market went till 50000 increase in vix helped me to not hit SL. In good return now. Will continue this monthly strategy giving less fear.

Sir jee in low vix environment (May - Dec 2023) double diagonal calendar spread is not giving good results. Bcos premiums are very less. Is there any workaround/fine tune for this strategy? If so pls explain. Thnx to both of you.

I've categorically stated that in low vix stick to classic calendars as debit will be high in diagonal....

Queries: In monthly, next month sells and far month hedge buys deployment should be spot ATM or at strike where delta is close to 0.5? current spot is at 0.4 delta for next month with significant difference in PE/CE premiums. For eg I was testing deploying on 19-Jan-24 Fri 3:15 pm Spot is at 45694 rounded to 45700; Now for Feb Exp sells, 45700 PE is at 0.41 delta and CE is ITM 0.59 delta; PE prem is about 800 and CE at about 1300; Similarly for buying hedges in Mar Exp, 45700 PE is at about 950 and CE is at about 1800 almost double; Appreciate your replies

Just use ATM strikes as per current SPOT. If u observe simulation premiums are not matching means different DELTAs.

I looked into the comments, and surprised no one ever tried this strategy on live. This works perfectly fine and gives good return on Simulators. I have backtested it for 3years and looks promising. But, when I tried to deploy it live, there comes the trouble. There is a huge BID/ASK price difference between Buy and Sell prices of 40DTE option strikes. Far month options BID/ASK is even more huge. So, this is again a KZbin video for like/subscribe/comments only

Very good presentation. Clear, on the point and precise. However, since I am new to these strategies, the adjustments actually go over the head. The logic of debit though is simple but is a bit complicated to understand without proper examples. Nitish ji- It would be really helpful if you could arrange paid training sessions also along with Vineet ji. These strategies are actually safe and provide good returns. For retail traders they can be a boon as we can use these by pledging our portfolio stocks. Thanks.

Intricate details of Calendar spread….good learning. Can you please show simulation of monthly calendar spread for sept-23 or Oct-23 (or anything other than Dec-23) so that we can understand adjustment for monthly calendar…also while trying to simulate monthly calendar found data inconsistencies. Not sure this is due to data set available for simulation or I did it incorrectly….else it is a fantastic strategy. I am very happy with a return anything greater than 30% PA after trading cost. So 3/4 % per month is a fantastic return for me. Would be eagerly waiting for adjustment and butterfly video….thanks
