I feel the same! Bobbi was the first “non drugstore” department store brand I tried - 20 years ago - wanted truly skin tone makeup and read her undertones and formulas were great, and I’ve never stopped buying them - it’s funny how something that felt dewey 10 years ago (Skin foundation) is a tad drier (not dry, just need more moisture before applying) and something that felt greasy 10 or so years ago (Serum foundation) is perfect!

I love eyeshadow sticks. Haven't tried BB. That dune shade is lovely. I usually wear putty in the Julep eyeshadow sticks. I'm Mac NC15 for reference.

Wow - love this look!! Pretty and soft but still made up. Thank you! I cannot wear any shimmer - my sensitive eyes just water and burn so I’ve been looking for matte shades and since BB discontinued many of their powder shadows was happy so see some new shades that are cooler toned and not dark - I’m too fair and most skilled enough to work with the darker shades. I’m going to have to try the sticks.

Which ones are discontinued? BB eyeshadows are *the* best easy to blend, build up, can’t mess up eyeshadows ever, because I mess up dark shades too. Have you seen videos of Bobbi doing shadow? She pats it on and then blends - she starts on the lid and pats up to right above the crease - I’ve tried it and it’s changed my eyeshadow game - I can’t do windshield wiper motions because it skips, but this is fast and hard to mess up.

I don’t have a lot of LM but have BB and loooove them. It’s hard to pick a favorite color, but Vanilla and Sand Dune are *perfect* for defining my eyes and looking polished but not like a lot of makeup - I stink at blending crease colors and I can’t mess these up, and they go on fast with finger or brush. Vanilla looks yellow on swatches I’ve seen but it blends into my skin perfectly- it’s the perfect base, or to just smooth out the color - I have blue eyes and blonde hair (naturally dark eyebrows), light/medium skin (I’ve been told I’m warm, cool, and neutral) so I’m not sure, but the discontinued Urban Decay Naked Skin weightless original in 3.5 is the most PERFECT match I’ve ever found, or Bobbi Brown stick foundation in Beige, cool sand, or warm sand (see, ether way) so you have some reference to how dark or light I am.

Neither Bobbi Brown nor Laura Mercier shadows dry on me. They fill tacky and, as the result, they ALWAYS crease on me. Not sure what it is. I tried with the base and without. Same effect. I have some many of these shadows and want them to work but no luck. Do you have any recommendations!?

Hey Shelbey. Just wondering if you could offer any insight on Bare Minerals multi tasking loose powder concealer? I can’t find Well Rested or Summer Bisque anywhere in the U.K. and it was amazing for my barely there base make up, especially to cover my tiny red veins around my nostrils... I get oily there whereas the concealer gave me long lasting natural coverage. Really hope it’s not discontinued. Bare minerals haven’t got back to my message I sent last week 😔

Nope! Unless it’s transparent I find it usually just disturbs the color of the cream shadows. The matte shades are really good for priming in general though!

Vanilla is awesome - looks yellow in swatches but it’s not yellow on me - perfect to smooth out everything and the sticks layer over it, so does powder.

I love Bobbi Brown - why did they discontinue the eyeshadow pots? The colors were phenomenal. Sand Dollar, Sandy Gold, Malted, Nude Beach, Cement, Beach Bronze - some of the names are the same but I don’t think they’re the same, like Nude Beach was more shimmer champagne than pinkish taupe. There’s nothing quite like Sandy Gold or Sand Dollar either - gorgeous. They had more product too for the money, but I’m sure sticks are more convenient. And please please please, Bobbi Brown, make limited edition colors in (old) palettes permanent, like Frappe and Naked. There is literally nothing like them I’ve ever found- so unique, yet understated, - I’m devastated they’re gone (I know it’s dramatic, but all my favorite things go away!)

The eye look is subtle yet very flattering. I purchased Shore when it was first released. I have light skin with a pink undertone and hazel eyes. Shore made me look like a corpse. It is far too cool and ashen for my skin tone. Loved it in the stick, hated it on my lids.
