Just wanted to say thank you! I made it on the first attempt with only Mission dying. Followed your strategy and it worked flawlessly. The only difference between my team and yours was that I seriously overleveled JKR. At R6 he was basically oneshooting the armor shredded droids keeping Malak's rage low.

Both dark and light side videos are awesome and easy, Thank you! Light side was much more tough for me. I pulled it off with only 3 Zaal shreds and Zaal and Mission defeated, but somehow I got a lucky rng with a Revan counterattack at the last second. I failed liked 10+ before that lucky rng. @@WhatsTheWordHipHop Yeah it’s been a while, beat the event a while ago, and I found out that the best way to do it was to stall more in the beginning, allowing me to get 5 armor shreds, killing all the captive jedi, and then saving the cooldowns for jolie’s and bastila’s assist moves, and revan’s mass assist. Took me a couple tries and good rng with revan’s counters, but you should be able to do it.

I am trying this with g12 Revan, Bastila, Mission, and Zaalbar and a g11 Jolee with zeta. Can't seem to kill the droids fast enough to stop him from enraging before the 4th armor shred. Going to be very rng base for me for sure!

in the real fight, he resets his drain and gets a free turn after each time he is dropped below 50% as well as getting a 99% damage reduction below 50% including any hits that would take him below that then drains back to full hp which resets that ability. this journey is a massive wallet check, if you have not spent money on this game do not expect to beat this fight without 30k+ power on your characters

4:20 always let him get the crit immunity it stops your team getting feared, doesn’t reduce the damage enough to not let him get it and it’s if zaalbar crits any character he gets armour shred not just malak

No matter what I do, my Revan never hits with 24-30k dmg, his average is 8-10k although he is gear XII und mods V equipped which is why the robots don't go down as fast and it fucks up the whole strategy.

It looks like he has all JKR’s zetas (direct focus wouldn’t affect anything here, hero and general are highly recommended) Mission’s Zeta (not needed for event but still decent) and probably Jolee’s zeta (get the zeta, otherwise you shouldn’t bother even having the character). Any other remaining zetas aren’t bad but don’t really affect the event.

I'll never get this event I guess... The only buff Malak gets is tenacity, I had 5 stack armor shred on him, all my toons vs him at the end, he was at 22 stacks. Started killing all my character 1 by 1 and no matter what I do I can't get him in red, he's getting too much health back everytime he attacksme

Idk if they updated this event, but those freakin droids spawn on almost every Malak's turn, and I can't keep up. I have g12 for most characters, mission Z and revan at g13 with Zs. After the pods are gone, Malak just spams that droids and absorption shit non stop

I built my characters too strong because nothing would work so I kept building them. Bindo is at Relic 8 because he's on my war team, everyone else is Relic 5 and except Bastilla at Relic 3. So now it's impossible to take out his bots without damaging him enough to absorb one of the pod Jedi clones or whatever they are. But it's still impossible or nearly impossible to win. If I go for the pods first I can take them but them he intensifies his attacks. I also can't seem to armor shred more than 2x because this ridiculous bad guy keeps targeting him and increasing the cooldowns. I'm beginning to hate this mission and resent this game and just want to be dine with it.

Ludicrous at gear 12 without Mission Zeta, if anyone gets here looking for future advice. Get the Mission Zeta, relic JKR or else you won’t have the offence to get through Malak even with 5 shreds. I’d recommend relic 5 on the Jedi, gear 12 on the other 2, All Zetas, high speed mods on all with Revan fastest Zaalbar second fastest. High protection mods on all, balance that protection with as much offence as possible as well on all characters although Jolee really doesn’t need offence. I’ll update this comment with what I end up winning with, right now I have acceptable mods, G12 with no G12+ gear max with G11 Zaalbar and Jolee. All Zetas apart from the Mission Zeta.

I believe Malak regains his Drain Life when he falls under 50% Health. I suppose you need more damage output and hope he doesn't heal over 50% with his Drain Life. Good luck!

this is event is impossible to do on my account. Since my revan, bastila, and jolee are all relic 5 and my mission and zalbar are all g12, and everyone is maxed on zeta's and omega's and it seems impossible to do it since I'm pushing malak too fast than intended... I kill 3 / 4 adds before he gets to 2-3 stacks of armor shred. since me being overgeared has screwed up the event and timers what do i do? do i just give up and abandon all hope of obtaining malak on the account? also my mission zeta is screwing me up big time =( and sometimes pushes malak too far ahead.

Tried the Malak event dozens of times with Ahnalds strategy (which somehow didn't work for me), then tried out this one and got lucky on the second try :) Hope you get your Malak soon.
