I just bought one of these power bleeders. It is great. I have bought 6 different types of brake bleeders over the years and they have all failed. This was amazing as I had to do a completely evacuated system due to failed brakes. My daughters brakes went out on her while driving. Her rubber brake line broke (completely broke from line end). I actuated pump as I power bled. Used a computer. Put 64 oz of fluid through system. Put new master cylinder on also. This was a nightmare to put on Chevy HHR. Had to disassemble the entire fuse box assembly to get to master cylinder.

After watching so many videos and After 3 days all day of trying different methods on bleeding the breaks I finally did it, I have breaks once again. With new rotors and pads on all four installed and full flush and it's now working better then ever I'm set. I'm glad I don't have to go through this again anytime soon. 👌👇🤘💪

If you put fluid in the catch bottle and make sure the hose is submerged can also be used without the pump on the maser cylinder and you would open bleeder and pump brakes till clean fluid then close bleeder and refill master cylinder just another 1 man way of doing it
@sevensupersport6 жыл бұрын
When doing the last caliper on the drivers side closest to the master cylinder, run the last fluid out of the pressure bottle and keep an eye on the master cyl and set the fluid level. That way you wouldn’t have fluid left in the line to drip all over your nice paint

@nordemoniac3 жыл бұрын
@@jcbryant6 Excellent comment. Whatever's left in the pressure bottle can't be used later anyways. Another tip is to keep a tiny bit left in the brake fluid bottle, so if you accidentally get it below minimum in the reservoir and the pressure bottle is empty, just add a bit from the brake fluid bottle.

The weather was nice. I decided to bleed the brakes using the compressor made venturi vacuum instead of what you did. well....soft brake pedal! I finally bought more brake fluid ( walmart cheapest dot 3) and met my neighbors wife at the mailbox. She offered to push the pedal. I decided to do it the old fashioned way using 2 people. ( One pushing, the other yelling using a wrench) We had one brake to go and my wife drives up from a doctor's appointment. (they are friends) Well, THAT slowed things down AND taking the front tires off. Got'r done! Good brakes now. Engine needed a wipe down because once I had the brake fluid res. cover off and told her to push! Fluid shot all over the place. It's all good now. Clear fluid!

But all I know now is when I push the pedal it hard and don’t go all the way through but not to the point I don’t have and brake . I push the pedal and it goes halfway to where the front brakes engage . So can you tell me what’s the problem . Like video and your style
@BlakesGarage6 жыл бұрын
You have to at least pump them a few times as the piston is compressed from you pushing the piston into the caliper. Sometimes it takes a few pumps to get the pads to touch the rotor. However its always a great idea to change the build and bleed the brakes. You could have bigger issues if you still have no rear brakes like air in the lines or a bad master cylinder.

According to step 2 (see below) of the Motive power bleeder instructions, after removing the old fluid from the master cylinder reservoir, you should refill the reservoir with new fluid. I didn't see you do that in the video, you only filled the pressure tank with new fluid (per instruction step 5). Did you skip refilling the reservoir wit new fluid, or just not show it? "2. Remove hydraulic fluid reservoir cap from vehicle. If old fluid is excessively dirty, siphon it off **and refill reservoir with fresh fluid**. Do not pump excessively dirty fluid through hydraulic system."

No because it pushes the fluid through the master cylinder. The master cylinder is never empty it doesn’t push air at all or need to be purged. Actually they tell you to test the system first with air only to check for any leaks in the pressure tanks
