Another very useful video. Most service centres don't apply oil on the oil filter rubber which is not good. Also, one must start the engine and leave it idling for a few minutes without revving after an oil change. This allows the oil to lubricate all the parts of the engine properly. But service centre people just rev it soon after starting the engine which is wrong. I would NOT recommend the engine flush for any vehicle (especially petrol) that is serviced regularly. Because it won't drain out completely and some of it will always remain in the engine after oil change. That is NOT good for the engine. So don't use it on any vehicle that is taken care of well.

300 series stands for mineral oil, 5100 for synthetic oil just like tvs oil, 7100 series stands for fully synthetic oil

@@MrRikD Yes, I am using since 4 months. There is better refinement and clutch feel. Am waiting for my next service at 20k by January for which tappet adjustment will be done. Not sure about the quality of work. Fuel filter n coolant might be replaced too.

I have covered 30.3k kms and recently done the 7th service. I have found the bike performing best with 15W50 oil. Unfortunately, Motul 7100 doesn't come in that grade, so I have used 10W50. Mumbai does get cold during winters. But regardless of where you live, it is advisable to stick with the recommended grade (15W50 in this case) or a larger range like 10W50 or 15W60 or something like that. A shorter range like 20W50 is NOT recommended. Motul 5100, 300v and 300v2 come in 15W50. So far my experience has been best with 300v (I have used 5100, 7100 and 300v), and I change my oil every 5k kms.
