Plants thrive on old fish tank water. Instead of dumping it down the drain, it could be used to water your plants. Love your fish, by the way! 😄

Energetic, exciting and fun young lady to watch! Love your enthusiasm! I recommend you keep temperature of newly added water same temp as water in your aquarium. A sudden difference of even 2 degrees could possibly shock some species of fish, causing them to become ill or die. Every two week cleaning will help ensure a healthy environment for the tank’s occupants. Great video!

Great ideo! Sorry But I love to give advice if I see some thing I know I can help with. A couple things I’d like to mention… Instead of aggressively pouring the bucket in AFTER you’ve done a water change, use a 1/2G container and scoop it out of the bucket, followed by putting the 1/2G container into the water and slowly turning it sideways. Lastly and most importantly, I’m sorry to say this but your bettas have fin rot and are underfed. I noticed one of them had a temporarily curved spine which leads to Dropsy and has a less than 2% survival rate if not treated in time. Feed them directly by putting one piece in front of them one piece at a time to make sure their eating whatever it is you feed them. Try giving them some bloodworms (also cut them in half) to fatten up their back side as bettas often can’t swallow the entire worm. Get yourself yourself aquarium salt and use it in your betta tank. Don’t over-do it, (that applies to 95% of chemicals.) Also turn up the heat to no higher than 85 degrees max! One last thing Is I noticed that one of the Bettas have bites out of his tail. Another fish in that tank is definitely biting your other betta (if it’s still alive at this point). Do you have 2 males together or is it a small sorority of females? It can happen either way, female or male as males are very aggressive towards other males and females can also be especially if she’s the hierarchy and it and the other females aren’t listening or are bothering her. I’ve said more than enough and everything else you did was great! I hope you try the changes I suggest and see how much better things get! Take care and thanks again.

I have a few questions! Do you have a heater in these tanks? If so how do you heat up the replacement water from your sink after you condition it? Or does it not matter what the temperature replacement water is?
@digiacomtech55894 жыл бұрын
The tank water is at room temperature but the tap water isn't ... I usually prep the water in a 5 gallon jug a day before to allow it to adjust. Also, she is taking out too much water ... only 25% should be removed & replaced at a time to help reduce any drastic temperature changes as new water is added.

@mranderson43032 жыл бұрын
Wait so you don't just completely empty it and replace the water ? , what about all the left over food in the bottom and corners ?
Can someone please explain what the hell the purpose of the syphon was? She didn't drain the tank so I'm just curious as to why that's even necessary when you scrape the algae and put replacement water in for what was lost
@BONDBEAUTYSJUNGLE3 жыл бұрын
The syphon picks up poop and dirt from the bottom all animals relieve themselves it doesn't magically go away it sinks to the bottom in-between the rocks so you need to suck it all up to have healthy fish and good water levels

Betta need at least a 5 gal tank, you need to top of the water regularly, and you need to test the water to make sure you are cleaning the tanks often enough it's bad for your filter because the water level is below the input line no hate

I was able to look past that for a few seconds because maybe her nitrate levels take a while to get high, BUT I was shocked when I saw that she hasn’t even added water to all the tanks in a month, just because she’s lazy, those poor fish living in half-tanks on top of the bad maintenance...

Can’t believe you used tap water…. Didn’t even show you testing or treating the chlorine or ammonia. In a pinch once I had to use tap water. I tested it first and allowed it to warm up. I treated it and retested. I added it to the tank and over half my fish died. Turns out the ammonia was too high. Now I test for that too. It’s best to use natural spring water and run it through a particle filter. Such as a counter top Zero filter container. I have an assortment of live plants to help with the flora too. Just don’t use public tap water. It’s not healthy for any living thing to use it. Too many chemicals in it. I only use it to refill my water filters.
