Thanks so much for pointing out changing the url in _config. I've been stuck with the navigation bar for a long time. After typing in my own url the profile image problem is also fixed. Otherwise it would not show the photo I uploaded.

Hi Boris, great video and great template! The only thing that I find strange is the publications section with that sort of nested structure (for example you get the suggested citation repeated multiple times, which is inconvenient). I've had a quick look but it doesn't look too straightforward to modify... How would you go about creating a new subpage (say for example a "research" section) in addition to the CV portfolio and publications ones?

Hi Boris, great video! I'm still confused how you change from the browser to vscode in min 2:22 #noob, basically how do you clone the repo and edit the files locally? I'm sorry but I'm still learning git and enjoy working with local files, which can be more fun for markdown writing.

In the video I actually had my website done and just went through the code and showed the final result! So, I already pushed everything to github and there the action was triggered to update the website directly on github’s side. That said, you should also be able to serve it locally and see your edits in localhost. if not, you might just need to always push and wait for it to render on the live website. I hope this still somewhat helps! :)

make sure to remove the ".." before "/images/" at the start of your image's filepath in the markdown

Perhaps you should track the changes you did in the commit (and push) that broke your code! Look at what dependencies were added that might be the cause. I hope this helps

This is missing a lot you skip all of the parts about how to actually get to the editing window, that is not intuitive. Also you never actually committed any changes, how do I know it works as described. All you relay did was change a bunch of surface level things and didn't show it worked.

I had the same problem, but I removed the excerpt line from the 404, about, and non_menu-page files. I believe it has to do with a new version of jekyll
