Great Video! Only problem is my table kept unsorting when I did group by so I needed to add a buffer: = Table.Buffer(Table.Sort(Source,{{"date", Order.Ascending}}))

I do have one question as to how to include the resulted RTBP column in BI. the issue is that when I add this column as a value in a visualization, the value is automatically aggregated, though the column is specified as "Don't summarize" in the data

So let's say I have the sales by Month and by Product for the last five years I would need for each month and each product to get how much we sold in the last 12 months and what is the average for the last 12 months. Do you mean you wish to do the running total by countries & then another column show you the repeating total of the country along with running total.. is that correct ?

@@ExcelExciting No, that came out wrong :) what I've meant is: let's say that I have a table of 3 columns: country, customer, and sales. what I want to achieve is a calculated column that returns on each row the total sum of the column sales, by country. Let's say for example that I have 3 customers within the country Brazil (customer A, which sold 30, customer B, which sold 40, and customer C, which sold 10). then I have 2 customers within the country Argentina (customer D, which sold 30 and customer E, which sold 15). the calculated column I want should return on each of the 3 rows of brazilian customer A, B and C, 80 (sum of 30+40+10), and on the 2 rows of argentinian customer, 45 (which is the sum of 30+15). How could I achieve that using M? I guess using List.Sum function. but how do I get the total grouped by country? Thanks in advance

If you're data does not always have the same header names, you can declare them as variables, ( T as table , myColumn as text ) => , and then use; Table.Column; List.Sum ( List.FirstN ( Table.Column(T, mycolumn) , [Index] ) )). i cannot take credit for finding this out.

This could be possible by doing the same technique, where the grouping of each columns should be done correctly then apply the sum formula
