Easiest Way to fit Grip Puppies, Heated Grips or New Grips

Easiest way i have found to fit Heated Grips, Grip Puppies or just new motorcycle grips. Be careful not to pierce the inside of the grips with the tool you use.

I used hand sanitizer! So easy!

I've watched a number of these now and everyone gets it wrong. Just use isopropyl alcohol on the existing grip and the inside of the puppy. Slides right on and after it dries grabs perfectly. This method doesn't leave soap residue that if it gets wet again may cause the puppy to slip. Leave the screw drivers for screws.

Watched a few videos on how to install these, and your suggestion about soaking the grips in warm water was invaluable...I skipped the screwdriver part and used a microfiber cloth to twist them on instead--worked great. You, my friend, get a sub for the soaking suggestion--thank you!

I had a set of these on one of my ST1300s and loved them. The larger grips were easier on the hands. They did muffle some of the heat when I used them but there was enough range in the grip warmer that it wasn't much trouble to turn them up one more notch. After five years, when I sold the bike, they were just like new. Now I've got a pair for my Goldwing to install and revisiting the installation process.

Definitely works with soapy water & a long screwdriver . Only trouble I had was on one side the Oxford grips were pretty well perished & as I worked the screwdriver it rolled the old mass of rubber grip into several lumps and I could see the wiring when I pulled the new grip back . I assembled the barkbusters & trimmed the lumps smooth . Started the bike switched on the Oxford heating and it works . Champion, thank you .

Great tip! If you have an air compressor and a nozzle use this in conjunction with your method and install is a breeze 👍🏼

This product works for me installed them today by applying small amount of Vaseline in the hole went in easily

Think I'll try a set myself. I get a bit of tingle after riding a while but my bar ends were swapped out by the previous owner for a trick pair of gold ones. Going back to standard bar ends might help with a bit of that too. Still like the thought of a padded grip though.

Yes I like them simply because they are a fatter grip. On long rides the thinner standard grips tend to make my hands ache, especially on the throttle side. Thanks for commenting Rob

Forget all that just use a bit of peer soap and they will slip right on Dunn deal. Good day

That's awkward and slow method. Use the plastic bag with little amount of soap. On in 20 seconds
