What happens to the mother stem? Does it grow new branches? And do we need to leave some leaves on the mother stem or we can cut the whole top?

The main mother stem will grow new shoots into new branches and leaves. For the purpose of propagation take cuttings about 5-6 inches as many you want in the pruning manner. In this way the mother plant will remain beautiful yet you get cuttings for propagation.

What kind of soil is the tanned color in the middle? Is it like clay type soil?

Its yellow top soil but based on my latest experience, for this purpose, you can use any original soil without any mix.

It is possible. It depends on the size, stem hardiness, and soil condition but very low chance. Try with longer and harder stem cuttings. Not all plants can be propagated back in the same pot. Roses, gardenia, jasmine are some plants that can be propagated back in the same pot easily but it depends on the soil. For this, I suggest propagating separately to use old garden soil or any topsoil yellow/brown.

Hello, in my experience I don't use rooting hormone for aralia. Simply cut and plant it in non fertilizer soil.

Surprisingly you have potted first in Black Soil, but afeter rooting it came out from Brown yellow soil, are you making photoshop ???

Propogation need to show actual what cutting stem you have plated in Black soil, but you are showing Other plant may be you brought from nursery in brown soil than surrounded with black soil? Somthing fishy 😮
