Couldn’t u have left the rubber seal exactly where it was and then just secure the new blue cap onto it?

Won't there be air in the shock now? Aren't you supposed to leave the rubber in?

For people looking at this video for something recent, there are replacement screws and washers included under the bottom corner label. 😉👌🏻

Didn’t need to use pliers. Small screwdriver through hole for leverage.

You're the first and maybe only person that didn't remove the entire shock. If the bladder was already in the shock, do you need to remove it and put it in the cap? Can't you just leave it in the shock? Nice work.

Great video! My kids shock cap came off yesterday and he tossed the diaphragm into the gutter! Luckily I saw it and got it back or else we would have been SOL!

OMG at 3:35 you flattened out the bladder in the cap. It's supposed to be an air bubble to help with rebound. And you used pliers to unscrew the shock cap. Wow. And it's a totally different cap so you should have added a couple drops of oil to make sure it's topped off. You should have watched other videos before making your own.

So my cars caps popped off and I didnt realize there was a rubber cap inside that had fallen off. What will happen if I drive without the rubber piece in with aluminum shock caps?
@jacklets38514 жыл бұрын
That part is extremely important. Your shocks need to be completely air tight sealed and without that they won’t be
