Sir, I already know these systems I'm 18 yrs old from india and trying to be a memory athelete I've practiced a lot to remember numbers but the fastest i was able to recall just 29/30 numbers in a minute (two digit numbers) I tried a lot but I'm unable to go more fast..if you can help me out with some tips I will be always thankful
@314god-pispeaksjesusislord Жыл бұрын
Ron, could you do a video on this number system and the Hebrew Aleph bet? It's alpha numeric, the paleo Hebrew letters are pictographs and possibly also hand gestures and musical notes. The structure of the Hebrew bible is designed to be memorized, that's why it's full of puns and chiasms and poetic structures. In the synagogues readings were done by cantors who sang the scripture. You may have seen that the names of the first eight patriarchs from Adam to Noah tell a story. The Genesis story is ten words, and God said, in 7 days. The structure of Genesis actually teaches the language beginning with the basics in the creation story, then to interpersonal communication and gender vocabulary, then family, then good and bad, and right and wrong vocabulary, then travel vocabulary and geography with Abraham, then legal vocabulary and philosophy in Moses. Then you have the Bible codes, which are for memory and to keep the text correct, like the equidistant letter spacing, if the Torah is copied correctly you can count every 49 letters and it will spell Torah Torah Torah YHVH Torah Torah Torah. Usually these are claimed as miracles, and they may be, it's a miracle to me that anyone could construct a text implementing so many Memory techniques that would imbed them in the culture. Another phenomenon is the kabbalah tree of the sephiroth, strip away the mystical and it's obviously a memory palace for relating common texts, the same with gematria, it's primary function seems to be to link scriptures by common numbers. All together it's a fantastic system if used in Hebrew without chapters and verse numbers, the Hebrew chapters and book names use the first word. Another memory technique is using the Aleph bet, as in psalm 119, where the sections are in alphabetical order and they are grouped by the first letter of the words. I'm sure you could recognize a lot more going on in the text with your skill and training. I got started on this by asking how God could require the nation to obey the laws from memory, and of course that brings in the feasts also. Think about what Jesus said at the last supper this way, KEEP DOING THIS TO MEMORIZE ME, like you did to memorize the Exodus. To me that answers the question about why we should keep those practices if they don't save us, we should because they are all for memory so that we automatically hide his words in our heart.

This video was recommended at the perfect time. Thank you for helping me, fill in some blanks that I had while trying to come up with my list of images for numbers. Not only did you help me fill in the blanks, but you also gave me some great ideas. Also, I’m not a memory expert at all, but I managed to almost memorise my whole list of 100 words in just a few hours by coming up with images that resonates with me. Thanks again.

Ron, I truly believe that your methods are as important for children to learn as reading, writing, spelling and arithmetic. What's the point of teaching without giving kids the tools to learn or memorise? Well done for your efforts and I hope that one day these methods are taught in every school.

Wow I had memorized a version of the ceiling, top,nose, mouth, ribs, liver, joint, cap, fibula, ball ( and sand below the feet) for a different purpose ( the bill of rights in order) so imagine my joy in discovering that it works for the major Number System as well. Also I love the way you simplified it. Thanks so much. I feel as if I’ve finally made a break through and it’s all starting to make sense.

Wow, nice to see yiu doing this still. I bought a…….cassette about memorizing things. Just the other day I laughed because I had to memorize a bunch of stuff fir a interview, I had it all over my body, just like yiu taught years ago. For numbers, I just memorize them in groups of four, I know my bank card, my visa, my licencec ect. This system, is pretty good.

Are you a school teacher? Because you sure taught this like a pro! Great job putting it all together! Made total sense! Most people rely on their technology and have gotten lazy and don't care about remembering numbers. I know I have. But I'm traveling out of the country soon, and if something crazy happens or if my phone gets lost or stolen, I want to make sure I remember the phone numbers of the people closest to me. It's SO important, but I think it's something most people don't think about. I sure didn't until I heard about a tourist getting locked up for a ridiculous reason in another country and only getting 2 phone calls per week. God forbid something like that happens, or some other kind of disaster, but if it does, I'll be prepared with phone numbers in my memory bank.
