Easiest way to navigate MW2 horrible menu! (Campaign, Multiplayer, etc)

Thanks. I've played nearly every COD game in campaign mode since 2003, and this is the first time I needed help just getting the game to start. What a mess. I actually ended up exiting the game and checking the store if I'd actually bought the right game! The words Modern Warfare 2 don't even show up in any of all that crap you have to click through and payment schemes you have to dodge.

Yeah ... it's a mess. Before mw2 came out it was easier-ish, but now it's all combine and confusing af. I rented mw3 from gamefly and returned it the next day lol 😆 I hope cod gets better one day.

It's been a while since I played Call of Duty...how the fuck did the UI/UX team went from at least 2 button prompts to access the campaign submenu to the current iteration of roughly 6-8 actions (scrolling down one counts as an action)? Like, genuine wtf?

I kept reading people say they hired a ui/ux guy from hulu and that's why it looks this way. It blows my mind how many steps it takes to get to what you want. If I had the time I'd do a revised menu that would look better, but it wouldn't change anything lol.

Update: Getting prompted to buy the game, even tho you may have bought it? So this usually happens if you don't have the correct game installed. If you have mw1 you can't play mw2 without owning mw2. If you have just warzone that's not the actual mw2 game. So if it's prompting you to buy mw2 that means you don't have the mw2 game installed. Now if you did buy mw2 and installed everything at 100%, and it's still asking for you to buy it then you need to put in a support ticket with the platform you play on (Xbox. Playstation. Steam.).

Do you have to pay for campaign? I already bought MW2 but it won’t show me tje campaign. I don’t want to sound stupid, but I couldve sworn when I bought it it said campaign.

If you bought mw2 then yes you have the campaign. You just might not have it installed. Check your managed files.

If you bought the game then you need to go to manage download or manage files and install the campaign

I just bought a disc version of the 2019 one, installed it and I'm stuck in the add on copying. It goes to 2gb then it restarts

Well 2019 isn't mw2. Buuuuuut for your issue you'll likely need to uninstall reinstall the game. I'd also make sure the system is updated, and you have hard drive space.

Did you buy any of the games? It will be locked and grayed out if you didn't buy the full game and install everything. If you have just warzone then you need to buy the games. If you did buy the games, I'd reinstall the games and see if that helps.

hmm...if you go to manage files do you see an option to reinstall the campaign? you might need to reinstall the whole game again.

If on pc yeah I could see that being easy. I think if they had just - campaign - multiplayer - warzone - store As individual text buttons like older cod games did that would make it familiar and easy for new people. While the menu system isn't impossible to navigate, it definitely can be overwhelming for some players.
