EASIEST WAY TO REPLACE U JOINTS *saves so much time*

Easiest way to replace u-joints! This will save you so much time. I replace a u joint on my 2001 24 valve 5.9L cummins, using a ball joint press and an impact gun. It pushes a u joint out of your drive shaft so easily and effortlessly. Gone are the days of using a socket and a hammer (BFH) to pound the u-joints out of your driveshaft. The ball joint press goes on each side of the driveshaft and the cap of the u-joint will pop right out through the top of the ball joint press. You don't need to struggle removing u-joints anymore. If you dont have a ball joint press you can rent one from your local parts store and get a full refund of your money upon returning it to them! See you in the next video!

I had a stroke back in 2006, took all the strength outta my right arm n hand,, Sure made it hard to swing a hammer!! Just had to change the original u joints out of my 94 Ranger,, a ball joint press is the only way to go!!! Clean the hell outta the yolks, apply a thin layer of anti-seize!!

Lightning needs some work... other than that good video. Your lucky in that the rear shaft on that truck has clamps covering 2 sides of the joint. Wish the 03's were like that.

Is there a right or wrong way to install the clips. Should they lay flat on cap I have a new clip installed and the " tail" isn't sitting flat on cap...do I flip it?

Damn.. I should do mine. I have done it before and i remember it being a pain in the ass.. and for some reason I thought we had to greese something with the grease gun when we were done. I could be wrong.

Crafty by Nature yes! I pump grease into them if they're greaseable joints after I get them on truck. I didn't show that. They are "greased" when you get them, but I always add my own to them after install! Ball joint press makes them easy as can be.

Its longer than a 10 minute job no matter what way you do it, and of course pulling it put of the truck makes it easier to do than leaving it in the truck. None of that was what I referred to in the video so I guess you missed the main topic? 🤔

The driveshaft just slides out of the rear of the tranny !! Or 4 bolts on a 4x4 ! It's MUCH EASIER on ANY truck to remove the complete driveshaft than it is to fight shit for a hour !!. If you wanna learn, Just come by my shop and I'll teach you how to change a U JOINT in 10 MINUTES !. Some of you "Wanna Be" mechanics make me SO MAD because of how you tell people it ", Should Be Done" !!!! 5 years of School, 35 years of Turning Wrenches and a cool piece of paper that says I'm a MASTER ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC, Says I know what I'm talking about !!. Dan Ballard I'm so proud of your accomplishments for turning wrenches. How are you advancing in anger management class? I'm assuming not well with how easily you get set off and the fact that you STILL missed the point of what tool I used in the video to change my u joint that makes it easier to do for guys who have never changed one before. It still takes longer than 10 minutes to pull the driveshaft and the old u joint then press the new one in no matter what you do it or how "skilled" you are. Can't tell time or keep track of it either, I see. The only funny thing about this is the "know it all" master mechanics who think their way is better than anything else and they can outwork the next person. You're nothing special and your "cool" piece of paper doesnt mean you're too bright either considering that I agreed with you in my first comment about pulling the shaft and bringing it to a bench and you still couldn't comprehend my comment or my video lmao. If you havent noticed by now, your insecure display of anger issues doesn't mean a thing to me nor does your "knowledge" or "skill set".
