A year later and no issues! We don't have a vent fan and our bathroom gets extremely humid and even that hasn't caused any concern!

You can use a blow dryer to heat up the glue and weaken it

I have had many command strips give out over the years, but then again, this is significantly more coverage of sticky material and you'd pay much more to create the same "stickiness" per pound of the mirror with the command strips.
