Man those towers being integrated into the chassis is a real bold manufacturing move. I don't see those being part of the chassis if they do a V2. We have got to have a better solution for a broken shock towers. Replacing the entire chassis is ridiculous!

Gnarly skate footage dude! I started skating back in the early 90's when I was in middle school. I'm 47 now but decided to quit around five years ago. I was riding behind my daughter who was on her bike. I did a kickflip and right after I landed it I hit a rock, board stopped dead and I went flying. I ended up cracking a rib. Let me tell ya, the injuries are a lot harder to deal with now versus when I was younger. I'll still get on the board once in a great while but no more doing any tricks for me. I don't want to risk any more injuries. LoL

Thanks bro!! Ya I started in early 2001 I think. Pretty sure I took a small hiatus in 2003, started again in 2004 and stopped again in 2006. Wish I had gone a little longer. Really wanted to Ollie a 12 stair and kickflip a 7, but maybe I’d even have more issues now if I had lol. I definitely had the skill for it but I was always scared. Yes things don’t heal like they used to, I know. I’d like to do some small tricks still. We’ll see how far I take it 😆. I’d feel a rolled ankle for a year im sure. 🫣🫣😆

I put in a new servo saver spring yesterday and a new steering rack too (Kagama 6s). @DerbyCityRC18 сағат бұрын

@0xpadx022 сағат бұрын
Did you have DSC enabled while doing jumps? If so, that would explain the air wobbles. Since the car is pretty lightweight, the gyro tries to set it straight in the air. The un probably does well for the brushed version, but for the brushless, they should have made different shock towers or detachable front and rear ends. Pretty sure arrma could make the same chassis with detachable towers.
@Boogie_the_cat21 сағат бұрын
They'll do that next version. That's why I never buy a V1 of any RC. Also, you're 100% right about the DSC causing wobbles when jumping. Any gyro will do that.

So cold you couldn't feel your hands? I think maybe the cold contributed to the breaky breaky. My "friend" took my TG off the tombstone jump at the indoor Amain track in northern CA and unstuck the landing from over 10 feet in the air and no issues. I can neither confirm or deny that we may have unstuck the landing *cough* (several) *cough* times and no breaks. We definitely did NOT collide with any track walls, barriers, other cars, solid stationary objects, or chairs of any kind. I'm really impressed with it, but our temps were well in the easily feeling our fingers and toes territory. Great video Even, I've been very much looking forward to your review on this one!

Easy to work on, aesthetically pleasing, just a shame they have 2N1 ESC's and this chassis with built in shock towers, it has some advantages but one hell of a big disadvantage as you so graciously pointed out to us, albeit a little careless, but accidents happen, and quickly too. I will get an Arrma one day, the issue is which one with so many to choose from, and they cost a lot in New Zealand. Great vid brother, as always, I press 'like' before I watch the vid, and want to press it again afterwards, but we know that doesn't work.

Thanks! I reviewed the bigger one a couple weeks ago and definitely loved it. I like having the big and small scales both. I kind of treat the big ones as a “special occasion” since I tend to break them a little more often 😆

This or ROG1?
@DerbyCityRC23 сағат бұрын
The Rog1 is good enough now that it has better axles that I’d say go that route if you want a monster truck. Go this route if you want a buggy. This will definitely have better handling because that’s just a characteristic of a buggy.

@DerbyCityRC6 сағат бұрын
I think the Mojave is the same way, but having a full body on it should be better. Still I wouldn’t call this a weak point and apparently GPM makes an extra enforcement brace for it.

See the Chinese master copyists are producing knock off tyres for the Groms now, the Typhon & the Mojave.! I saw them on UK Ebay yesterday, a set of 4 wheels & tyres for £14. They look pretty decent.!! 👍 I've actually had a lot of luck with knock off tyres lately, especially the Proline BF Goodrich style with multi hex Raid rims & 17mm Hoons.!!

It's funny, i just watched a video on the Traxxas (new) Jato buggy, which was $350 and the reviewer didn't even run it stock, immediately put in a $150 motor and ESC and he got 43 MPH. I don't know what Traxxas is doing with their prices, but it sure doesn't stop the fanboys from buying it. Traxxas is working hard to raise all the industry prices, but the other brands are keeping them low. That's the #1 (out of many reasons) I won't buy anything Traxxas. They live on their advertising and reputation, but their products (aside from their durable chassis) are outdated and expensive. But the fanboys buy them, upgrade immediately abd try to pretend they got a good deal on the "best" RC in the world. That Jato buggy has a 12 tooth pinion out of the box. 12 ! That's the smallest RTR pinion I've heard of. People made fun of Team Corally using a 13 tooth pinion, but when Traxxas uses a 12 tooth: the fans stay silent. Traxxas fans creep me out, it's like a fricking cult: they won't ever admit to a bad decision by their "favorite" company. Yet, by pretending that garbage is gold, the fanboys are actively working to lower the quality of the brand. If they never make a complaint, Traxxas never improves their quality. Also, the Jato was recalled in europe because the boxes had asbestos dust in them. Maybe it was a free gift ?
@DerbyCityRC18 сағат бұрын
Ya the Jato seemed a little underwhelming! I still may end up with a traxxas one day. I’d like a Maxx, but until they really impress me, I’m not sure that’s gonna happen. Luckily I was late to getting the mini Maxx and was able to see that I probably wouldn’t have been too happy with it. Lol
@williamwallace942714 сағат бұрын
Yep.. The time is rapidly approaching the only thing people buy from Traxxas is the X maxx
