@SKYST0RY HILARIOUS! I WILL NOT COMMENCE MY ASTRO IMAGING PURSUITS WITH A DEDICATED AP CAMERA UNTIL AROUND MID 2026. I AM CONSIDERING A ZWO ASI2400MC PRO WHICH COSTS APPROXIMATELY $5000 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS. AS A NEW ASTRONOMY ENTHUSIAST WHO QUICKLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE VISUAL ASPECT OF THIS FABULOUS HOBBIE, I AM IN NO DASH TO START SHOOTING WITH AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA. RATHER, I WILL TRY MY HAND AT IMAGING WITH MY BRAND NEW CANON 90D. THIS NEW PASSION IS FOR LIFE, SO I HAVE DIVED RIGHT IN AT THE DEEP END AND HEAVILY INVESTED IN A "SKY ROVER 130 REFERENCE REFRACTOR" FROM A RETAILER CALLED ASTRONOMY ALIVE HERE IN AUSTRALIA. IT HAS A FOCAL LENGTH OF 920MM AND CARRIES DECENT APERTURE AT 130MM. SADLY, IT HAS COST ME $6400 AUSTRALIAN BUCKS WHICH MEANS IT REQUIRES AN APTLY CAPABLE MOUNT TO ACCOMMODATE IT. DUE TO PORTABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY, I HAVE DECIDED THE SKYWATCHER WAVE 150i WILL BEST SUIT MY DESIRE TO ENJOY MY NEW HOBBIE WHEN ON A TRIP IN ADDITION TO BEING ABLE TO START MY VISUAL JOURNEY AT HOME. IN JULY OF 2025, I WILL PURCHASE A BRAND NEW CELESTRON 9.25 EDGE HD TO COMPLIMENT MY REFRACTOR, SO I CAN ZOOM IN ON PLANETS WITH MY FAVOURITE BEING SATURN AND JUPITER. I AM EXCITED BEYOND BELIEF! AFTER QUICKLY BECOMING SUPER FRUSTRATED WITH MY FIRST TELESCOPE IN 2020 THE "STARSENSE CELESTRON DX130", I DECIDED TO BITE THE BULLET AND "PROPERLY INVEST" TO A CONSIDERABLE SUM AS TO AVOID ANY FUTURE DISAPPOINTMENT-I AM ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED WITH SUCH A SENSIBLE DECISION BECAUSE I EXEPCT NOTHING SHORT OF DAZZLING VIEWS OF PLANETS IN FULL HD COLOUR THROUGH MY NEW HIGH-END SCOPES. IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2026, I WILL BUY A STELLARVUE SVX 90T WHICH WILL "COMPLETE" ALL OF MY ASTRO REQUIREMENTS FOR MY FUTURE JOURNEY THROUGH SPACE. TOURING THE NATURAL WONDERS OF LIFE IN DETAIL WITH HIGH CLARITY, WILL PROVE AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE CREATING EXQUISITE MEMORIES THAT LAST FOREVER. WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT, ASTRONOMY HAS CHANGED ME AND PROVIDED AN UNIMAGINABLE IMPROVEMENT TO MY TIME HERE ON PLANET EARTH. I AM SUPER GRATEFUL AND THANK MY LUCKY STARS TO HAVE FOUND THIS ASTONISHING NEW INTEREST, EVEN IF IT MEANS MY BANK ACCOUNT WILL TAKE A HIT IN THE SHORT-TERM. I AM OVER THE MOON TO HAVE SUCH A FABULOUS KIT FOR A BEGINNER TO THIS EXTRAORDINARY WORLD OF DISCOVERY AND NEW HORIZONS . . . . I MIGHT BE 45 BUT I FEEL LIKE I AM IN MY PRIME SINCE I FOUND ASTRONOMY, OR PERHAPS IT FOUND ME! HA, HA, HA, HA, HA . . . . . MY EYEPIECES ARE; 1). EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 6.5MM 52° 2). CELESTRON LUMINOS 7MM 3). CELESTRON LUMINOS 10MM 4). CELESTRON LUMINOS 15MM 5). CELESTRON LUMINOS 23MM 6). MASUYAMA-FULL SET 7). BAADER MORPHEUS-FULL SET 8). TELE VUE PANOPTIC 24MM 9). TELE VUE DELOS 10MM 10). TELE VUE ETHOS 13MM 11). TAKAHASHI 3.3 TOE 12). PENTAX XW 40MM 13). EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 4.5MM 52° THANK YOU DEAR FRIEND AND ENJOY THOSE DAZZLING VIEWS!

When I want to alter colors in an images palette, I use a PI tool developed by Adam Block called Selective Color Correction, It allows me to create in real time masks based on a variety of values which are then used to alter the color in selected areas .

Sounds useful. There are a lot of good ways to handle this. Usually, I just modify the colors in the channels, levels or curves tools.

You have to use the narrowband normalization tool strictly with starless images to get the optimal results according to the maker of this tool. I think this is why the SHO pallette was "fighting you". Great video, nonetheless.

I tried this but didn't see any noticeable difference. However, it may have been because I was transforming fully developed images that had already been stacked, registered and pre-developed in PixInsight, middle developed in Affinity Photo, and finished in PhotoLab 8. Could just have been too far along to get much difference. I am tempted to try to reprocess it in the future by running fresher data through, maybe before it goes into Affinity Photo.

@SKYST0RY I agree, I think you should try it with fresher linear state starless data. I'm sure the SHO palette would be easy with the tool. Best of luck.
