Back out on the bike again and with a new camera, the Osmo Action 4. It’s glitchy in low light (fixed these settings in later recordings). Crackin day at Dyfi with Tom

what max ISO did you go for in the end? I'm also thinking of putting sharpening to -2, it might be not helping with the blur on big hits, as its trying to sharpen a blured image

Hey mate! This is one of the glitchy videos, I went with -2 on sharpness and noise reduction. Can always add that in post production. I went with 1600 I think? This was shot in 3200 max and I found it was far too bright in the open when the clouds cleared and the camera didn’t automatically drop the ISO in the open light. Using your settings and 1600 ISO, 200 shutter speed seems to be the best for out in the open and in the woods, further rides ive filmed are great just haven’t gotten round to editing it yet. Will get one up the end of this week!

@@mtb-mania great, i think ill drop the iso max then. Definately less than the 12800 max!!, as it does come with alot of noise, and the image doesnt need to be that bright. I tested that in the middle of Scotish winter and golfie, so you couldnt get any darker haha interesting that it went overbright in the daylight, my understanding you are only limiting the max iso, so it only goes to that maximim level in the darkest areas. In daylight it dosnt go anywhere near that level, i never had a problem woth it being overbright once out of the trees. Glad the glitching is away, that was very annoying, i found its the worst when its a bit foggy too, it really struggles then. I'll keep an eye out for the new vids!

@@alex737M yeah I had to really drop the brightness etc using the colours tab. It was far too bright. Cheers for the tips mate, hope the wrist is doing good. I’ll keep an eye out for your new vids 🙏

@@mtb-mania ahh, do you definelty have the ISO still on auto and not the manual (shows up as an M) setting? i just looked at mine, its on auto, which lets you choose a ISO range, so you want it to show 100-3200, not just say 3200. you can see in the top right corner the camera constantly varies the iso up to the max value you have set (in this case 3200) ive just held it up to the window and the ISO dropped to 200 automatically. if i select manual, then you only get to set a fixed ISO, so yes that would be too much for daytime. in my vid at around 1:00, the screen has auto selected, and i have 100-12800 selected and you can see teh ISO changing in the top corner as i move the camera around

@@alex737Mit should have been on auto, it definitely is now - may not have been for this video as this was prior to me even finding your video and wasn’t aware of the glitching at this point! 😭
