Talented, charismatic, strange, unique, discovered his talent by chance, outrageous, came out of the people and the ghetto, a star, the best rhythm and blues and soul voice of England, with a unique gift, destroyed by newspapers and his rash behavior and statements. But this is Brian Harvey, he couldn't be any different. Underestimated, due to the mutation of modern music and the end of the boyz bands era and the decline of the golden era of hip hop and soul/rhythm and blues. Brian Harvey and East 17 will always remain in our hearts. But unfortunately, and it's obvious that his voice could not compete at that moment with Boyz2Men, Jodeci, and the American soul/rhythm and blues/gospel market, and even with Backstreet boyz and Nsync, there were more powerful voices and bigger budgets in this market. Not fate. But we still love you Brian Harvey and we'll remember you so amazing, you're a legend. There is no you, there is no East Seventeen. Peace.

Brian Harvey can sing most of those you listed under the table. Try it live and you get to see the difference.

@@david-spliso1928 Amazing live performance. You know all live performances are always different and different from the studio track. But this performance proves what a beautiful voice Brian Harvey has and how great he sings live. It is a pity that the video does not convey the energy of a live performance, the video is simply not able to convey it. Album E-17 Resurrection is perfection, although simple and without expensive arrangements, it's a pity that in 1999, no one realized that this was an RnB masterpiece. And now that everyone has tasted the sound, it's too late. The time has gone. Brian Harvey legend forever.
@david-spliso1928 Жыл бұрын
@@DrachevskiyDmitriy Yes indeed. His live performance of Each Time with E17 on Top of the Pops in 1998 has much better audio quality.
@DrachevskiyDmitriy Жыл бұрын
@@david-spliso1928 I agree with you, the live performance of The Tops of the Pop 1998 Each Time is more powerful, they are just different. Yes, but the main thing is that Brian sang all the performances in both versions live, not to the "plywood", and this is a thrill. Brian Harvey has a great voice, it's a pity that he doesn't release songs for fans now, time is running out. And he's so underrated. I wish all fans patience, and I wish Brian Harvey to sing many, many songs, even if not popular ones, at least for fans and his admirers. And most importantly, I wish all admirers of creativity and Brian Harvey himself great human personal happiness and health and wait for many new solo songs. Since East Seventeen unfortunately cannot be returned. Yes, and it is not necessary. Gone are the days of boy bands. I wish Brian Harvey to meet a good producer, songwriter and arranger, and then there will be a dream song again. Peace for everyone.

You are right. Brian and AJ from the Backstreet Boys and JC Chasez from *Nsync would blow Brian Harvey out the water. Brian Harvey is great for a British guy but he cannot compete with the Americans you mentioned. Jodeci, Boyz To Men, Backstreet Boys, *Nsync. They had much better voices. The brits think Brian Harvey is amazing because he sings in an American, RnB style which is not a typical British way of singing but if you put him against the Americans he would just be another RnB voice. He is a brilliant singer though. There's no denying that.

@@matthewstevenhunttheir manager Tom Watkins was gay, but it’s alleged that he had assaulted, and had his favourite in Tony Mortimer. Harvey was also done out of some credits (allegedly) which would have seen him bank a good £20K a year alone just on the Xmas song.
