@@clementineyaya9074 Hmh not to spoil antrhing yet for PMD so (read with caution) but: I feel that "Deep" sort of loses the main East 17 sound. Yes they did dabble with hip-hop, but their sound started to become more general american toward the later part of the 90's. I always thought that they where unique because of the fact they used a fusion of the early house beats and rave music in their songs instead of usual R&B or hip hop sound. I will say though if you put "Deep" into your list as the last song of 4 you can definitely see the diversity in their work .

I loved East 17 back in the day and I still do. These songs have stood the test of time very well. Kim Wilde even covered this one. Other major hits to listen to from them are "House Of Love", "Around The World", "Let It Rain" or "Gold" but there are so many wonderful songs from them it's hard to count them all. But these 4 are amazing to me.

East 17 performs live better than any boyband. Even all of their TOTP performances are actually live, unlike many other pop acts. They are one rare breed in that they also bother to play synth and bass live as well..

Alright is a really clever use of lyrics because it's a common British greeting. Especially in London. If you walk past someone you know- you just nod and say "alright" to eachother. But you don't answer wether or not youre actually alright. 😂

Love how you felt about this. They were a phenomenal pop group back then, their music was truly awesome, Brian had an absolutely beautiful singing voice. And their fashion style was bad ass! All around one of the best things to come out of the 90’s! Really can’t put into words how much of a great vibe these guys had.

I agree, my friend. And, Brian still HAS an absolutely beautiful singing voice. I would not have expected that judging by his speaking voice these days. But I was mind-blown when he started to sing. Still a fan and so euphoric when I hear their songs. ❤ My very first concert was an EAST 17 concert. I'll never forget that. 😍 Greetings and much love from Germany

Wow, finally a reaction to my favorite band. Fell in love with East 17 back then when I was 10. Brian Harvey's voice is still my favorite voice of all time, it's just so smooth and warm, but can also get strong. I can still listen to their songs all day, it's a nice mix of pop, dance with a bit R'n'B, Hip Hop and Rock elements here and there. I especially love the live footage from their first tour ("Letting Off Steam The Around The World Tour").

100 percent. Brian has one thing going for him and its not his temper or work ethic, he has his own unique and strong voice. Its why Wyclef picked him for a collab in the early 2000s

E17 were the alternative to take that like all saints were the alternative to the spice girls. Tony on the piano was the creative one like Gary.brian was the singer and the other two did the backing and dancing like Howard and jason but they were more talented. Popular '90s boyband that rivaled Take That in the charts with eighteen Top 20 singles. These days former singer Brian Harvey has a small KZbin channel where he posts some fairly disturbing content... I don't know exactly what's going on there but my impression is that he is sadly not well. :(

Oh recommendations? Right...uhm,to have a great variety episode i suggest: East 17 - If You Ever (feat Gabrielle) [Official Video],East 17 - Gold (let the guys humour you with a fun video), East 17-Stay Another Day (i see you already got full coverage about this song),East 17 - Let It Rain (Who knew rain could be this hot) and East 17 - House Of Love (the music video that introduced me to East 17,everyone looking super young,oh and you get to meet theyr mascot. PS: Mascot is also with them in Gold that I mentioned) What/who is the mascot? Oh its a secret😁

All of the recommendations are great but I'm surprised that nobody has recommended "Deep". That is a brilliant track...'im going deep, deep deep down" I wonder what he was talking about! Haha 😂😂❤️ ❤️ They also released a version of West end girls because their manager was the PSB manager back in the day. I liked all of E17's singles with the exception of the song they did with Gabrielle which is strange because I love Gabrielle. The lead singer is Brian Harvey (voice of an angel but, brain of a frozen pea). There was a young girl in the UK called Leah Betts who took ecstasy and ended up in a comma and died, he made a comment on late night radio that he took E every weekend and that lead to a big boycott of the band (by parents) so he was sacked from the band, and that was the end of E17.

This one was my favourite song in mid-90s when I was a kid. Still listen to them once in a while. I agree with what the other guys proposed - House of Love, Gold, Let It Rain (in the style of It's Argiht), Deep (more rap-based and sexy) and Thunder (absolutely gorgeous ballad). And as for the live versions of it's Allright - here are two from 1994 and 1995, I had both these concerts on VHS:) Quite different arrangements, the first one seems to be played absolutely live 1994: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4mYd4SkqbGXrck 1995: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZvYfoaPgM-Nqs0

Had a feeling you would love Brian Harveys vocals 👯‍♀️💃🕺Tony Mortimer is the tallest one rapping, and in the back you have John Hendy and Terry Coldwell (has facial hair) Only "boyband" i did not feel embarrased over liking after i got out of my teens😂In theyr own words: "We dont consider ourselfs a boyband though... *short pause* Interviewer: What do you call yourselfs then? Brian: "We call ourselfs a manband!" *Everyone bursts out laughing* I loved East 17 so much because they were different then everyone else, and they sounded different.

Please see the 'e17 resurrection ' album.. the band fell out , they got back together without tony mortimer and did resurrection ,an r&b album with brian harvey vocals on full show.
