Im so glad it was able to bring you a bit of joy! I will forever be grateful for nature's ability to heal and inspire. Sunset hikes remind me that there is beauty to be found in the end, even when we feel oncoming darkness. The dog is actually my neighbor's. Her name is Luna, and I truly enjoy taking her out on hikes with me. We really do connect in regards to the joy we find in outdoor environments. I think of her as my personal hiking trainer: she always waits patiently for me at the top of tough hills with a smile as if encouraging me to continue onward. It really captures the time of day, the low angle golden light. Its so beautiful when you get to the high point and you seem to be overlooking a low cloud or fogbank (around the time the lens flare looks like a green laser pointer...cool!). How fun to "go on" a hike I can imagine doing in my physical condition, without fancy gear! Maybe we'll do it together in person one day. Thanks for sharing this experience, Dorea! xox
