Glad you do. At one point he was he was managing Boyz II Men career but stepped down probably due to the reasons stated above. Diddy, Jay Z, Cash Money, Jermaine Durpi, Neptunes, Master P, Kanye, Timbaland, Death Row, Young Money were CEOS as well as artists that were successful so it can be done. Cash Money and Death Row had worst reputations for not paying and beating people up and that was their downfall. Diddy too.

I thought that group was called 10-10. Wytegise (Sudden Impact in the Motownphilly video) was a New Kids On The Block clone but that's just two examples. That's not "most". Yvette Nicole Brown is on The Harry Connick Jr. Show right now, she mentioned the video b/c she's in the New Edition movie as Biv's mother. She mentioned how she 1st. met him, when she auditioned for him, he ended up signing her. After the success of Boys2men and ABC I had a Female group I was managing and they auditioned for him on a video shoot of another little boy group he had close to the age of ABC. Those kids where there a long time that night stomping in water they were spraying,they were working Very hard, Unfortunately the Kids never came out. Mike was pretty cool to even allow my group to audition!! To come to his defense he meant well signing those kids in hope of helping them. I think things went bust with his Deal with Motown. Remember Motown bought B2M contract out. Plus the whole BBD thing was over And don't forget that NE reunion put him in Legal/lawsuit issues. I was somewhat involved in the industry, it is not as Pretty as we may think, it can be really ugly, You Must Be Careful of What You Sign!! Contracts are pretty STANDARD!! B/c they Sign you, they don't have to Record you!! For whatever reason some make it, some don't. Some walk away, some crawl away, some are drugged away, literally. I could tell you all some 😱😱stories. BTW love the video!! Peace!!

Two of the "Whytgize" members were grooving. They sound good, they just needed to loosen up. 😁

Man, this makes me a little sad. What happened to all these people? Fruit Punch, Hayden, Whytegyze? Come on now...there's some talent here.

Wow I can't believe I've never heard this song or seen this video until now!! This was my era & I thought I was on my music like heat is to summer but I must've been sleeping on this track!! This was what made the 80's & 90's so special......UNITY & having fun instead of gang banging & ho's & _ itches! Man I miss this era and these artist some I've never ever heard of!?? Glad I stumbled across this! Big up to Bivins always had the heat boi!!🥵🔥

Mike Bivins had a real ear for talent. I remembered when this video premiered on video soul in the 90s I was praying that they would all be able to put music out but it never happened with the exception of Boyz II Men, ABC and MC Brains.

He had a good ear because this song still sounds fresh.

Until I did some research, recently, I NEVER KNEW that "Lady V", is the ONE AND ONLY VAL YOUNG (from "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" back in the days fame). It's good to know! Been a fan for many, many years.

QuadrantBottomHalf Boyz II Men had 15 year career with like 3 successful albums and TONS of classic songs that ppl STILL sing to this day and even play at their wedding lol. They may not be making much music NOW because they’re old and mike left due to health issues, but don’t sleep on boys II men. One of the best r&b groups to ever do it lol
@BronchoKyle6 жыл бұрын
@@Blackisbeautifull96 they are still making albums and touring. They are doing fine. 😁
@MrEXtraRaw6 жыл бұрын
@@QuadrantBottomHalf Depends on your definition of "hot" because they still sell records albeit not as much as they used to. They still sell tickets to their tours. They've even had a better career track record than New Edition themselves. They really don't have to be "End Of The Road" hot anymore because their place in popular music culture is cemented.

This joint was jammin' on my boombox throughout the summer of '92. Everyone who got their shine on it are very talented and I wish there was more to show with the newcomers. However, I am shocked that Yvette Nicole Brown was once a part of this great collective; she has a great voice. Of course, she's doing her thing on the acting tip. Would love to see her in a musical. Everyone within this bunch is definitely unforgettable in my book.
