This is the second (of two) videos from my recent revisit to Manors Station, which sits about half a mile to the east (e.g. "down" direction) of Newcastle Central Station.
My previous video, which can be viewed at the following link, showed the passage of two GB Railfreight freight trains: • GB Railfreight Biomass...
What Manors lacks in station facilities, it makes up for in frequency of trains. On a normal weekday you can expect around 10-15 trains per hour, the majority of which will be non-stopping express services.
This video focuses on passenger trains, by far the most common of which are Hitachi IETs operated by London North Eastern Railway (class 800/801), TransPennine Express (class 802) and open-access operator Lumo (class 803).
In addition to those, there are regular CrossCountry trains services using class 220/221 diesel multiple units. Each hour there is a stopping Northern Trains service to and from Morpeth, which consists of two-car class 156/158 diesel multiple units.
Filmed on 25th April 2024.
