East Coast Main Line Trains at Stevenage on May 14th 2022

3rd visit to Stevenage Station on the East Coast Main Line and also nowadays the terminus for services via the Hertford Loop Line
Featuring services from LNER, Great Northern, Thameslink, Grand Central, LUMO and Hull Trains
Stevenage station opened on July 23rd 1973
Until then the 1st intermediate stop for intercity services between London Kings Cross and Peterborough was the next stop North at Hitchin.
The station today served by Thameslink and Great Northern under Govia Thameslink Railway services from Cambridge and Peterborough as well as LNER services from York, Harrogate, Lincoln Central and Hourly Leeds services
Hull Trains mostly run non stop here except Mostly on Sundays with 1st stop for their services to Hull or Beverley is Grantham which since November 2019 now operated by 5 car Class 802 Paragons.
Thameslink Class 700s nowadays operate services to and from Peterborough to Horsham, Cambridge to Brighton via St Pancras Intl and a semi fast service from London Kings Cross to Royston and Cambridge respectively.
Class 717s built for Great Northern replaced the Class 313s in October 2019 having been in service which nowadays all services to and from Moorgate via Hertford North terminate exclusively via Platform 5 which opened in August 2020 which was built to free a critical bottleneck for stopping services on Platform 4.
Other Great Northern services to Ely and Kings Lynn via Cambridge nowadays operated by Class 387s run non stop through here in fact their 1st stop isn't until Cambridge.
LNER services nowadays been mostly taken over by Class 800 and 801 Azumas although their differences is the 801s are electric only with the furthest north it can go is Stirling
The Class 800s operate in electric and diesel which includes non electrified routes including Aberdeen, Inverness, Harrogate, Hull and Lincoln Central and other limited services such as Middlesbrough, Skipton and Bradford Forster Square.
The Class 91s been on the East Coast Main Line since 1988 although nowadays only operate services to Leeds or York and occasionally Skipton or Bradford Forster Square. Although it's days in service are numbered however several weeks after filming it was announced according to LNER that all 91 sets except for Locos 91110, 91111 and 91119 will be repainted into the Intercity Swallow Livery.
LUMO rebranded in September 2021 from East Coast Trains began operating in October 2021 although only a few return services a day however eventually will operate in time 5 return services a day to and from Edinburgh with only calling points at Newcastle and Morpeth and occasionally Stevenage itself.
On the day of filming Grand Central had problems with some of their Class 180 Adelantes due to power traction equipment issues and some Thameslink services were cancelled due to Planning Error.
