The dirt that comes up on the mudflap hangers actually isn’t from them missing the rinse job, it’s from when you pull ahead in the wash bay and your tires kick up the water and dirt and spit it on top of the hangers. Washed trucks for awhile and learned you had to basically crawl out of the washbay to prevent that from happening

Josh you got the truck washed at Raphine in Virginia, the 2nd largest truck stop after Iowa 80. I hope you enjoyed the Blue Ridge Mountains. Virginia is a beautiful state.

That blue KW has been sitting there for 5 or 6 months. It is for sale but the asking price is exorbitant. A buddy of mine wanted to buy the roll back trailer...almost crapped his shorts when the seller gave him the price. Madness! Enjoy the ride up 81...pretty scenic.

Hi Trucker Josh Big Blue looks really good my Dad years ago when he drove over there road he had the chance to bring the semi home so we we go and take it in the backyard just the big and all of us would wash the truck and everything and get it all cleaned up inside and out my sister and I would do the inside the truck clean it all up for Dad and dad would clean the tanks and everything on the outside real well and the company he was with over 40 years awarded the drivers for keeping their trucks clean and he get a little pins with awards and stuff like that was really awesome that he had that done and after he passed away I got all those pins and it's a good reminder dad when he was over the road and we used to do that and help him clean it up it looks very nice keep the truck clean but by Dad retired in the late 1970s nice scenery I agree with you that truck stop was a big one like a maze have safe trip god bless

I remember White's when it was a 76. That large gator mounted on the wall in the dining area. Early 90's

Good word against parking on shoulder of the highway. You gave the scenario of someone blowing a steer and taking you out. Just last month that happened for a family in a southbound motorhome in that stretch of 81. 5 fatalities and the truck driver was headed north like you. Crossed over exactly where there was emergency crossover and no cables.

@21:55 the white and bleu straps and frame KW is from Quebec the company is Malbert I work for that company and we leave the pavement we do a lot of jobs site,etc we just have a very good mechanics and drivers maintaining they're rigs well

As many times as we’ve been by that Pilot never seen the one 9 sign…..never heard of the Blue Beacon either but White’s Truck Stop is huge. Across from the Pilot used to be Truck Stops of American until they changed the road and put in that round about.

I have ran the roads for over 60 years. Never once did I look to see if a truck was clean. More interested in what they were hauling than dirt on the truck. Oh, maybe those vehicals were disabled and couldn't make it any farther.

The Company is owned by Berkshire Hathaway and Oilot. The company operates truck stops under the pilot travel centres, Flying J travel plaza ONE9 Fuel NEtwork and Mr.Fuel brand.

The One9 fuel network was acquired by Pilot Flying J in 2019, they are targeted towards small carriers and owner operators. Pilot has converted many of their smaller-format stores to One9 branded ones over the past year or so.

Whites truck stop is a top of the line place. Or it was about 5 or so years ago. Everything was clean and had good food. The parking lot is a little confusing to say the least.

hey josh little tip always check ur starter or one day ull be stuck at the pumps when ur truck dont start after getting fuel it happen to me before in a normal rig not a semi so thought id share a tip to keep checking on them every few months cause it sucks having to find a ride home and then get a trailer to haul ur rig home lmao

It is illegal to park on any shoulder of a Interstate, off ramp or on ramp in every single state. It's actually a federal law that almost every state simply doesn't enforce and because they do not enforce it, drivers continue to do it.

Long time viewer I had to rewatch the beginning twice lol I live in Maine and actually worked in Biddeford before moving to the midcoast I know your on a schedule but if you have a chance make sure you try a lobster roll or some other delicious Maine treat and safe travels Maine is a beautiful state

I 2nd that about the lobster role. Not inexpensive though this season. Josh could probably eat two, or else maybe a clam role to fill up on. If eating outside make sure a seagull doesn’t steal it that’s happened down here in MA. Try a candy unique to Maine called “Needham” made from potatoes and chocolate. Bring some back for Britt.

When I drove to NC, stopped at 205 Whites all the time. The gas station out front wasn't there in the early 90's. They had a old motorcycle display, and a great knife and gun collection in there and a huge alligator mounted on the wall in the drivers area.

Yup..stopped at Whites everytime I was on 81...great handgun collection. Excellent breakfast...chicken fried steak(with gravy),2 eggs,grits& apple sticks..I used to drive like a maniac out of Texas to get there for breakfast.

Apparently parking on the on-ramp shoulders in Kern County California is not recommended as you'll sink up to your axles in the soft dirt. I drove the eastern seaboard only once from Maine to N. Carolina on a Memorial Day. I-95 was a tad busy.

I have the same anxiety and discontent with baseboards and where they meet the floor in my house, don't laugh. If there's even one hair or fuzz gathering there or touching them, I have to clean it right then even if it makes me late. Also feel as if I'm the one who got a bath when I use the leafblower on my deck.

There is a place I go to downtown Västerås Sweden that has trees that are sticking out on the road lower than my truck which is already 4 meters, which is 50cm lower than normal/maximum heights 4.5 meters. By law everything should be at least 4.5m if it sticks out.
