Oooohh! I love this! My dad was a conductor at Godstone Garage. From around 1948. Until One Man Operated (can't remember the year exactly) I can remember the camaraderie at the depot. I was (being a kid ) totally spoiled with cakes and sweets etc. Especially the clippies! I could write a book - perhaps I will !
